Will Trolleg Maskaev beat the crap out of Sam Peter?

Peter should win but.... he got hurt EVERY time McCline landed an uppercut. Is he just prone to uppercuts or tremendous punishment that he received from Klitschko ruined him? Either way Maskaev, even this old version of him, is a much better puncher than McCline. What's gonna happen if he lands an uppercut? Light out Peter? I think Maskaev (+300) looks like a good bet.

 

The Big O survives this bums power & boxes his ears off to a UD. The difference in skill levels between these 2 fighters is like day & night.

 

No way. Maskaev is old and has been knocked out by almost EVERYONE. Just check YouTube. Peter will connect at some point just like he did against Klit, but the brittle Maskaev won't be able to get up like Klit did. From what I've seen, Maskaev is a brawler anyway not a boxer. Even Peter's wide, looping shots should be enough to stun and hurt the Russian. A single straight punch by Peter would probably fracture Maskaev's jaw. Lights out for him. I would think this is why Maskaev ducked Peter for as long as he has. Perhaps even another "injury" will surface to postpone this one again?

Toney was so fat he couldn't even pivot at the waist & he reflexes & speed are completely shot. Toney almost lost to Batchelder in his very next fight!

I guess going by your logic, Mccline has more power than Wlad, seeing Wlad coudnt put Peter down once in there fight, but Mccline was able to 3 times.:yep

 

for those who think maskaev has a chance: peter, even when he is fighting badly, always connects at least once. wlad was in some kind of trouble, but never was truly hurt, mccline has the chin to take some shots. but when maskaev is hit, he just freezes and drops dead. i think even peters jab will maybe stun him and a big chopping right will do the rest.

 

Klitschko cracked Peter's egg & McCline opened those cracks up more is all. Wlad's going to KO Peter if they meet again. :deal

 

I doubt it, you will see Peter in all his glory come March. Maskaev is getting knocked out early, dont worry RUSKULL I will make room for you to jump on the Peter bandwagon.:yep

Naw Man i don't hate Peter, i've enjoyed watching him ever since the Klitchko fight, a lot of refs would have DQ'D Wlad or taken points for holding so DAMN much :deal

 

Agreed, the fight was exciting and very competitve, a kind of match Wlad hasnt gotten in awhile.:yep
