Will Tyrone Spong, Usyk's next opponent, be a challenging test for Usyk or not?

If it were kickboxing, it would be 50/50, but boxing, Spong isn't world class and he is well past his prime

I can't handle this level of ignorance, so I simply pointed out in a challenging manner that the post should re-evaluate their perception of reality because Spong is not someone you walk over... and we have learnt MANY times in boxing that the non-technical or technically lacking can FIGHT themselves towards a victory.

And guess what? Spong is technical, just not as experiences as Usyk, but he can put shots together beautifully, and has the power to KO most men.

 

No, if you are here to learn you do't write stuff like:

Charr? Really? You don't think Spong would beat Charr? So you know about Charr, and you know about Spong yet you came to this conclusion. How is that learning?

Hips and feet as well? Uysk is very hittable, and Spong is a known KO artist, who has still got KO power. He is a professional fighter who has been a profession at the top of his game for well over a decade. To say Usyk is head and shoulders, hips and feet over someone like Spong... even if Spong isn't a pure boxer, is just ignorance and Usyk certainly won't be going in with that mentality because it is a silly mentality to have. Usyk is more skilled clearly, but saying hips and shoulders is like saying Spong can't fight and just learn how to fight one year ago.

Again, the poster knows about Spong and his career, yet is making the most ignorant statements ever... "not the first time in his career"... wtf is that supposed to mean? You think no one can lose a fight? Every great fighter in history who stepped up, lost at some point... gtfo you child.

This is not someone who came here to learn. Spong is high class, just because he lost a few times, doesn't take away from his greatness as a fighter. I am yet to see Usyk demolish and stop, he did it against Bellew, but only the stopping part... he was getting tagged plenty by Bellew... PLENTY.

 

No one here will predict Spong goes down in round 1 so we will all be suprised and this is my point.... it is wrong to completely dismiss Spong... he is a dangerous fighter because of who he is and how dedicated and composed he is.

He never turns up to collect a paycheque... he is a real fighter born and bred.. he comes with a Chisora and Mike Tyson and David Haye mentality to box clever and with aggression and to cause pain.

He is not a bum

He is highly seasoned, he was born with talent.... was a child prodigy in Muay Thai growing up beating well known Muay Thai natives at their own game

Then he stayed dedicated to learning and improving snd getting stronger and bigger. Unlike many fighters who give up and become faded Spong is always consistent he goes down on his shield usually against other great fighters

To say he will lose in first round or even to assume is complete rubbish

If Usyk beats Spong it goes a long way to assessing his chances against the other monsters in the division like Wilder, Ruiz and Otto Wallin. Spong is an absolute monster of a man, one of the biggest, most athletic heavyweights I've ever seen. Usyk will need to use every ounce of his speed and footwork to avoid getting KTFO.

 

Spong is no bum but he arguably lost to the guy who was ko'd by Bakole in 1 minute and i doubt Usyk will have any problems in here, i would be shocked if he loses more than the usual first round he always loses because he starts slow. I think Usyk by late round stoppage on accumulation.
