I don't really see any skill with Dubois- but, Usyk could get old in there, happens to them all. Won't be able to pull the trigger, etc. But logically it looks like a 9-3 or 10-2 fight.
Usyk will be at his best in front of a large Ukrainian population in that city. All the pressure is on Usyk and DuBois has nothing to lose. I expect DuBois to come out aggressively then settle down as Usyk takes over with his boxing skills. A no win type of fight for Usyk.
Maybe? I hope Usyk pushes for the finish, but he may opt to just coast to a decision I still think he will want a stoppage. Then again he may just do enough, to hopefully give the duck some courage to man up and take the fight next
There is such a massive gulf in talent that it could be a bit of a snooze fest due to the lack of competition. Dubois has absolutely nothing to bother not only Usyk, but any world level fighter. The guy is just plain bad. I expect Usyk to put on a clinic, and win every single round in embarrassing fashion. I predict Dubois will either quit on his stool or have his team pull him out due to accumulation of damage. Would that scenario be a snooze fest? Sometimes it is fun to watch a top operator do his thing even if nothing is coming back.
It would be nice to see Dubois go for it and take a few shots so he can land some big shots himself. Unfortunately he is slower and more robotic than AJ and will be completely clueless for 12 rounds. I wouldn’t be surprised if usyk targets that eye and gets a late stoppage though
Usyk actually is favored to win via KO, so if you like a pts win then you can get +250 on it. The primary question for me is whether Usyk still has his legs. He's at the age now where he could lose them from one fight to the next, and if that happens things will get interesting. But ultimately I think Dubois is just too slow & stiff to land the shots he'd need of consequence, so I expect Usyk to put a beating on him for a wide UD or late TKO.
Dubois has been training at altitude and is said to be in fantastic shape and much fitter than he's ever been. He's also come in at his lightest weight in six years so he's going to be faster and fitter than before.
Eveyrbody is underestimating Dubois. He looked in very good shape in the weigh in today and he's young & powerful. He hits like a mule. He has a very good chance of knocking Usyk out.
Usyk UD is what I've bet on and I think is the most likely outcome. Usyk will take the first 3-4 rounds just feeling out Dubois and analyzing what he does. Usyk will turn up the pace, then take a round or 2 off, before turning it back up again in the final rounds.
