Will Usyk have his Ring FOTY title?

    Objectively he deserves it widely. He beat the three best boxers in his class behind him. But Golovkin and Kovalev also deserved it in 2015 and 2016 and did not get it.

    The Association Ring8 has given his FOTY to Crawford....

    I predicted that Usyk won't get it. Crawford or Clenelo will likely get it from most major publications.

    Crawford - Horn, Benevidez in his home country and hometown

    How is this even up for debate? There's no case to be made for Crawford.

    If Usyk doesn't get it, its a travesty, and FOTY becomes as irrelevant as Best Picture at the Oscars. Nothing more than a popularity contest.

    Canelo might get it coz of the politics but Usyk is the peoples champ. You can’t sleep on what he did this year.

    A real ****ing travesty if so.
    And with Canelo vs Rocky still ahead, it's likely that the hype from that fight will influence quite a few decisions.

    Wasn't it Ring who made their 2014 FOTY Kovalev before the year was even finished? Inoue was the clear lock for that year but got shafted by the international media. He beat the two consensus Nr 1 guys at two different divisions that year.

    Usyk deserves it by a landslide, which means he probably won't get it.

    Let's see if they make the right decision for once.
