    Absolut true Lewis won by TKO round 6.

    After round 3 it was clear, that the fight will be stopped in the next round. Foreman mentioned it too. Vitali should have went after Lewis like Hagler did against Hearns. But the tank from Vitali was empty.

    Lewis took more and more control over Vitali and the fight. Round 5 and 6 are clear by Lewis. So the doctor does a very good job!

    He gave Vitali the chance to knock Lewis out but it was obvious that Lewis got the fight under his control and Vitali could be hurt very very badly after round 6. Vitali could have lost his eye and his boxing career was over.

    Lewis is a much better technican fighter than Vitali and Vitali does not have the one-punch-power to knock Lewis out.

    So the doctor was absolut right and after round 5 he said in the corner "the last round!"

    Vitali had a horrible defence in this fight. Wlad learned the lesson why it is so important to "protect yourself all the time!" And Wlad changes his trainer to learn how to be a better and complete fighter! The trainer from Lewis is now in Wlad´s corner, this says very very much about Wlad´s "real" opinion on this fight. Not the things Wlad says in the public.

    No.

    There is no one in Vitali's era -- including Lewis and Wlad, IMO -- who could "cleanly" beat him.

    * Byrd was getting ripped
    * Lewis was being mauled
    * Wlad's the "little brother," and had chin/nerve issues

    Vitali will probably not be as appreciated as he should be in history, but those who saw him fight and know the game understand how good he has been. It's a shame he had the injury problems he did, and it's a shame there wasn't stiffer competition (or guys who would actually fight him) to test him.

    The first punch that lands on Vitaly will open up the cuts he received in the Lewis fight.

    OH WAIT!:patsch:patsch:patsch

    Recall when that bit of wishfull thinking was flying around the Interwebz???

    I consider losing by cuts a TRUE way.. Maybe you klit huggers don't. And retiring on his stool because of a shoulder injury means losing too.

    You fans will always change your standards to make your heroes look better.

    I like Vitali, but I have no problems with him being beaten by Lewis.

    Yes it is a problem that Lewis won on cuts while being behind on the scorecards. That always sounds like a dodgy way to win. But it wasn't some small, fluke cut that just bled a lot and was in the exact wrong spot - it was masses of damage.

    If you punch a guy until he is unconscious, or you punch him until his face is coming off, or you punch him so that he loses all coordination and hurts himself (Solis) then these are legit wins.

    The Byrd loss was just bad luck.

    Vitali lost against Lewis, but proved that he could hold his own as a boxer against him.
    Vitali lost against Byrd, but proved that he was way better than Byrd.

    Vitali will not lose in a "true way" if this means being knocked out or outboxed.

    If it means being beaten by a guy who is probably better than he is, then this has happened to him once, and will only happen to him once.

    I believe that if a fighter can lure him into a factory and under an industrial press then they may have a chance.

    Firstly Lewis beat him fair and square and was stopped for Vitali's health, which is his fault for taking so many big Lewis bombs.

    Secondly, he can be stopped........when hes 60, maybe....
