Arreola is a largely unproven fighter who doesn't even train.

Unless he comes in the ring and shows us something we haven't seen from him before, he's just another fighter with a decent punch who got steered to a title shot in a weak division.

Arreola is a crude slugger and Vitali should take him apart with relative ease. Other than his age VITLAY has all the advantage here, so he gets some credit, but not heaps.

I think That Arreola stands a good chance to win this fight..I know there are gonna be people on here that disagree.. But I've never been all that Impressed with Vitali..Yeah i know how he was winning on points against a 40 yr old out of Shape Lennox lewis before he was stopped because of the gruesome cut over his Eye. But Who Else ( who Really stands out) has the guy beaten?? Sanders? Williams? Johnson? Where are those guys Today? oh and let me point out that he got Rocked in the 1st rd by Sanders go back and watch it!!. If sanders hadn't come into the fight looking like a man with women's breast he might have actually won that fight!!. and oh yeah he Beat Sam peter..who came into the fight out of shape and looked totally uninterested in defending his title that night. and last but not Least he Beat up a Blown up CruiserWeight in Juan Carlos Gomez..LOL..who actually at times had success getting inside of that highly talked about Jab of Klitschko and landed some shots on his chin..if he actually had some power instead of throwing pitty pat punches he might have done some damage.

The haters will never give Vitali ANY credit. Ever.

He could beat Jesus Christ and nail him on a cross in the ring the haters would come out would say Jesus was fat and out of shape and just came for the paycheck.

That depends how much effort Arreola actually makes in the fight, if he acts like a "live" opponent chases Vitali around and tries to hit him, I would give Vitali some credit,
however if Arreola stands rooted in the middle of the round, not punching, with Vitali jabbing him to a TKO/ or a Arreola quitting, no credit.
I have to say, its really not Vitali's fault so many fighters are full of fire and bravado before a fight with him, and as soon as the bell rings they really don't want to fight/punch/move or much of anything else.
All a fighter can do is fight the guy hes in with but really how much credit can you get for a win where the other guy will not fight ( Sam Peters and many others recently).
Kinda reminds me of how a lot of fighters acted with Tyson, they got in the bell rang and they all of a sudden did not want to fight, in Tyson's case they hugged him real close (bonecrusher et al), which at least made sense from a not getting hit point of view, with either of the Klit brothers fighters just seem to stand lamely in front of them and get jabbed, usually without moving, which makes no sense to me.

i don't see why Vitali won't get any credit, Arreola is young, strong, and has been knocking out opponents left and right. I don't feel Vitali will have an easy night, his work will be cut out for him at the staples center.

I can tell you why using Sam Peters as an example, Sam was young strong arguably better than Arreola. Vitali would have been in more danger, and had a tougher time in the gym hitting the heavy bag than he did in the "fight".
So no credit for basically beating down and out, leading to a lame quit on the stool from Sam, a Sam that made no attempt to punch or much of anything else.
I really believe both the Klit bother are not so good when really put under pressure, their defense is good for the first flurry of punches aimed at them, when their opponent actually follows up with more punches they start grabbing and flailing around.
Its just damn annoying that so few of their opponents actually try to hit them, most just get the "deer in the headlights" syndrome, and motionless with wide eyes watch that big fist jabbing em, bop, bop, bop between the eye's.

It depends really. For me its not about beating a top ten guy. We know how shallow the division is and Arreola doesnt represent a career defining fighter. I want to see if Arreola can take Vitali into deep water. I want to see if he can make Vitali uncomfortable and take away the distance at which he operates and see how Klitschko reacts. If Vitali can show another dimension to his game and come through with a solid victory, I think he will get a lot of credit..

Depends what Arreola brings to the table.
Probably I see the same credit as for Williams.

Arreola is absolute ****ing garbage as a world title challenger but yeah I'll give him credit. Win over an undefeated top ten fighter, got to give him props. Corrie Sanders would of mopped the floor with him, and Gomez would of made him look silly.

Exactly. If Vitaly gets into a fight like with Lewis then he'll get credit. Otherwise it could end up being a waste of time and effort.
