Will Vitali retire at the right time, or take it too far and regret it?

So far, at almost 41, he's still steemrolling everyone (with the exceptoin of the Chisora win, with an injured shoulder, but he still won every judge card), and still is seemingly untouchable by anyone he's face.

    Dominant, with a capitol D.

Do you think his ego will cause him to stay in the game to the point of his reflexes, endurance, and overall physicality will start to decine noticably (whenever that may be, but I don't see much yet), or will he retire on top, fully on top and go down as one of the most impressive heavyweights to date?

I think reasonablity, connection with reality are at odds with an older fighter's ego and undying desire to keep bringing in huge money, getting treated like a king, and basking in the spotlight.

Will Vitali bow out before his body and skills start to really slip???........ And by slipping, I don't mean merely losing a round or three, I mean to the point to where he's barely winning, or even losing.

He's not even close to that, just yet.

He could fight For another 2-3 years if he wanted too. He hasnt been in a war in ages.

He has another 4-5 fights under his belt. Haye fight will happen. Only if haye beats chisora in style. Wach. Boystov. Etc..

**** Vitali. If he continues to cherry pick fighters who are too inexperienced, old or shity then yeah he can keep fighting.

His best wins were over Chisora and Adamek of late. Sosnoswki was **** and couldn't even win prizefighter. Briggs was ancient and barely had enough gas to last in fights before Vitali. Kevin Johnson was inexperienced at the time. And now Vitali wants to add Manuel Charr to his resume. Charr who never beat anyone good, who is not a top ten fighter,a guy who only has "OK" power. Yeah Vitali going after the tough guys. I can't wait for his retirement.

I hope he fights on and starts working in old guy fights against Rahmen, Bowe, Toney, etc.

This is spoken with the true ******ation of someone who doesn't understand the HW division. Chisora and Adamek were the 2 best HW's at the time when Vitali faced them and he didn't need to at all. Especially Chisora. Vitali has always fought the best if his brother already didn't gobble them up or they refused to face them. Vitali has only fought the best available.

If you think any current HW beats Vitali, then you're a complete ******.

I certainly see a haye fight gearing up later this year. Or at least I hope so.

After that, I think Vitali will see that as a high note to bow out on, while still being completely dominant. .

(assuming he don't degrade before he does finally get Haye(and assuming he DOES actually get Haye))

I don't think he'd keep fighting if he were to barely get by someone. Too smart too let what he's built start to be diminished by bad decisions this late.

But as of now, he's certianly still on top, has still *got it*, and will probably make at least two more good performances before bowing out. At least, that's what I see happening.

    Charr

    Haye.

Done..................still steemrolling them all, even at 41, to the very end of his career.

He's already proven to be one of the best heavies in heavyweight history, and especially after his unprecedented comeback in such a dominant way after four years off, cold. Now he's showing that time has not diminished his performace in a way few other 40 plus heavies in history have.....

Lewis said he felt himself aging too much to continue at 36, but Vitali is still ripped and steemrolling at 41. I think being in perpetual good condition plays a big role in how long a fighter's skills and physicality can be maintained at the peak level, as well as genetics, obviously.

VK is a true one of a kind, in many ways.

I think he will retire at the right time and only he knows when that is. He's not like many other heavy's that have made a comeback, he managed his money well, and for him the fighting now is not because he NEEDS the money. He loves to fight, keeps himself in shape and takes care of his body.

I could see him fighting on for a few more years based on his need to compete, and still doing so pretty well. Rather he decides to or not, time will tell.

    Vitali's a fighter.

Fighters always find it hard to retire, and very rarely know when to quit.

    "Couldnt even win prizefighter"

Prizefighter is a tough system for any fighter, 3 rounds in which you have to convince the judges youve won every round. you lose one round and you risk losing the fight

In all fairness Johnson V Hamer could be a lot different in a 10-12 rounder, Johnson was able to land some telling blows but wasnt busy enough to beat Hamer in 3 rounds

Chisora beat and got robbed of a win vs a fighter who was ranked highly in Helenius where he was the underdog in that fight and proved he is a world class fighter when he took the fight to Vitali

Adamek was a mandatory and although a small HW, he has still proven his worth by beating both Arreola and Chambers on points proving he has the skill to compete with HW's his size

Coming off a long layoff to beat down the WBC champion in Sam Peter ( who gave Wladimir a lot of trouble in the first fight ) was also a tough thing to do

    Peter - WBC champion
    Chris Arreola - Top contender
    Kevin Johnson - Undefeated contender
Odlanier Solis - Top Contender ( injury was not Vitali's fault )
    Shannon Briggs - Former Champion
    Albert Sosnowski - European Champion
Tomasz Adamek - Former LHW, CW Champion. Mandatory
Derek Chisora - Should have been Euro champ

Now seeing as the WBC wont sanction a Haye fight Vitali would have to drop his belt. also the Manuel Charr fight isnt confirmed and seems to be a lot of smoke being blown by Charrs promoter / Manager

Seriously who is Vitali supposed to fight in todays division? Povetkin is avoiding the K bros like the plauge and was beaten in my eyes by Marco Huck, the likes of Seth Mitchel and Tyson Fury arent ready to fight at this level and anyone he does fight not named Haye will give him gried from critics

Haye flopped in his fight V Wladimir and could likely do the same V Vitali and if Chisora is able to beat Haye then all the hype is in vain

    Nah he's gonna keep fighting

until he's like 48 and Anthony Joshua will brutally end his career and possibly most of his health in the ring

then the Klittards will just start accusing Joshua of killing an 'old man'
