Does anyone know what Glazkov is up to these days? Will he fight again or his knee permanently damaged?
Saw some form of article saying he was supposed to return summer of 2017 but nothing materialized and no new news since that. Not looking good.
I don't think there's a place for him in the current HW climate, even before the knee went he was getting beaten on by Prince Charles. The guy just seemed to get gift after gift, should have had Ls to Malik Scott and Steve Cunningham.
Oh ****, forgot about him. Third corner of what I call the "Ov" Triangle. ...as in "what a waste OV talent", and their names all end in "-ov". (Maxim Vlasov until his recent cruiser resurgence, Matvey Korobov, and Vyacheslav Glazkov always struck me as having the most frustrating careers of the millennium in terms of how much raw potential they all had that hasn't translated into top level success)
I mean... I wouldn't object to it, it did end via fluke injury early on and thus an inconclusive result. But the Scott draw is a controversial one that's begging to be done again.
Definitely, I don't think he can hold his own against the top heavyweights, but I don't think he's a natural heavyweight either and could easily make cruiserweight and be competitive with the top cruisers. It just seems like Glazkov has dropped off the face of the earth ATM and every boxing journo has forgotten about him. Hopefully, he hasn't got a Booby Miles knee.
Well, there is a possibility of that, let's say it that way... After he had damaged his knee in the Martin fight he was taken into surgery. After some recuperation time he started training and injured the meniscus once again... So, he wants to come back, but it's not easy at this point: health, inactivity, age, not popular enough...
