I know we are still quite a while out, but does anybody know if One HD plan on televising the Klitchsko v Haye fight on free to air?

They've recently televised quite a few Vitali and one (?) Wlad fight and was hoping the trend continues.

i doubt it... main event know they can cash in on this one so the chances of getting it free are minimal at best

notice they only aired the fights where the opposition had zero chance?

Probably would be on Main Event PPV.

The only reason OneHD aired some Klitschko fights was because like Gonzo said Main Event chose not to televise them, so OneHD picked them up.

Now that OneHD is no longer showing as much sports as they are making millions $ in losses there is basically no chance they are picking it up. OneHD are going to be dropping their rights to sports such as NBA, MLB, NFL etc once their current contracts are expiring in the coming year or 2.

Little to no chance OneHD will show this with no money unfortunately, this is why OneHD is now adveritising all these male orientated TV soap shows starting in June

This fight will sell, and 'giveaways' from a FTA network are highly unlikely IMO.

They're moving away from sport and becoming another 'mens' channel.

Last year it was reported they were very happy with a 1% share, the highest numbers for any digital channel in its first year. With a change of ownership on the ten board those numbers are now being interpreted in another way, and are no longer good enough.

It basically depends on what their current contract is with the NBA.
If its for another season then they will obviously have it next season...otherwise if its a year to year contract renewal thing then there will be no more NBA on OneHD.

Guys unfortunatly there is some innuendo out there regarding One HD.

All they are simply doing is moving sport from PrimeTime.

This has come to me from the boss of One HD.

Sport will still be a feature on the weekends, with F1,MotoGP,Netball,NBL and possibly AFL.

NBA is very popular on the channel, and whilst no decision has been made regarding its demise, nothing has been said either way.

NBA,MLB provide alot of daytime content, and this should continue, given it is still a cost effective exercise for One HD to do continue showing these games.

In regards to the Klitschko fight, I would not 100% rule it out, but would consider it unlikely.

Haye-Klitschko is a massive fight and will do big numbers...Mainevent would be all over it i imagine.
