actually no...i find ggg good, but i think he needs to step up in comp.....
exactly...but ward i think will just stay where he knows he can keep his 0 intact

i myself, and im sure 9/10 fans would rather watch mickey ward fight over andre ward....it has nothing to do with skill, it has all to do with heart and performance...

Not to mention that @ 175, Ward would have a good chance to meet Chavez Jr, beat him and gain more popularity.

all the best fights are @ 175 for mr SOGoat. :yep

Yeah eventually I think he wants GGG, JCC JR or Froch 2 then he would move up.

Eventually he might. At the moment he doesn't seem in any rush, he seems content to stay in his comfort zone having average fights at home, Bernard Hopkins/Joe Calzaghe style. He's probably hoping GGG moves up.

I think he should move up though as he has nothing left to prove at 168, being a two division champ looks good on the CV and there are probably better fights and more money for him at 175. Bute, Pascal and Stevenson would all be reasonably big fights for Ward and should be winnable, especially considering they used to be SMW's. Kovalev might be a bit more difficult but it would be a big fight and many think Ward could beat him too.

Ward does not want to take risks. That's how you define him. It is his basic line. He says this himself. He wants to make money without being hit. Yes, that's it. This is the reason he does comments on HBO. Read his interview. Maybe he reveal it accidentally.

Ward will move up if the competition at 175 is weak is stronger opponents show up at 168.

The guy has talent but mentally he is wrong. He is not for this. Maybe he should leave boxing and do comments full-time...because he is not giving exciting fights nowadays.

Why are American fighters required to move up but the foriegn fighters should stay put:think

Why no demand for them to "take risks" and "challenge themselves"???

So Ward has proven himself and GGG hasn't in their respective divisions but the guy who has proven himself and cleaned out a division shouldn't move up???? GGG needs to clear his own division then we can talk about moving up... Ward needs to move up... or maybe we'll have to sick Darnell on him again.

Yeah because Sturm, Pacquiao, Canelo, Calzaghe, Chavez jr. , Klits, GGG never ever got flack for their opposition...right? Jesus.

They never mentioned GGG. The thread was about Ward and whether he will move up in the future. You really need to stop seeing racists and GGG-fans under every bed. The monsters are in your head. :smoke

Ward didn't make Dawson move down in weight. Dawson offered and Ward accepted. Oh the horror.

He will have to. The problem ward faces is taking the tougher challenges and not get the right kind of money for it. HBO are trying their best to market the guy but it really is a tough sale. He has no fan base even after winning super six.
