Will Ward pull out of the rematch?

I don't call it a "robbery." It was a close bout, where I can certainly see why the majority feel Kovalev won the bout. Decision could have gone either way however if you're honest with yourself.

Even if Sergei was declared the victor here, wouldn't you still ask to see a rematch? I would. And I wish they'd fight a 15 round bout.

To me, this will get clearer if they fight again in regard to who is the superior boxer. I don't think either man separated himself from the other. It was highly competitive.

 

i'd be happy to watch them do it again.

i just didnt feel ward did enough to take those belts.

i had kovalev winning by 1 round and that was giving ward a few that were very close rounds.

shouldve been a draw at best, ward just doesnt fight like a champ, he spoils.

 

I was too busy enjoying the action to score round by round, so I'll have to rewatch to give a proper scoring account. However, the "feeling" I had was they were evenly matched, and it was a draw. I could see Kovalev winning, but not Ward in my opinion. (I felt he fought back to a draw at best) Very hard to give Ward that bout. (You'd be giving him EVERY close round)

I wish they'd fight 15 rounds.

 

Kovalev had cultivated this aura of a beast and the intimidation part of his game has been in full effect in all of his fights, except this one. Ward put his butt on notice before and during the fight that he wasn't in there to surrender. Ward was like a junk yard dog in there and made Kovalev respect his gangster. It was ugly but that's what he had to do. Kovalev tried to touch gloves with Ward and Ward was like Fk that. lol. Ward underestimated Kovalev's skill and power but he adjusted. Kovalev underestimated Wards tenacity and he couldn't adjust.

 

Ward won! You are the one that needs to accept it! Look at the records! Ward is still undefeated and Kov has a loss and a split decesion with a journeyman gatekeeper that dropped him. Some believe that Kov should have 2 losses on his record. It was a close fight and ward got the nod! To say it was a gift is showing your utter hate for Ward! Keep on crying! Your tears fill my heart with joy! Repeat after me: WARD IS A FAR SUPERIOR FIGHTER THAN I GAVE HIM CREDIT FOR. THE SOONER I ACCEPT KOVALEVS LOSS TO WARD THE SOONER I WILL STOP CRYING ROBBERY!!!! LOL

 

I thought a draw would have been fair also but I couldn't complain if either fighter won a close decision. I don't think some of the guys give Ward credit for the body work he was doing.

Kovalev couldn't execute him the first time lol and got further from executing him as the fight went on.

 

And you Ward fanbois make my day with your uneasy attitude about the fight and the fact that the vast majority think Kovalev won!! Lol!!

REPEAT AFTER ME... I WILL NEVER CHANGE THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE PUBLICS OPINION. AS TIME GOES ON AND YOU TUBE STAYS AFLOAT, MORE AND MORE PEOPLE WILL SEE WARD GOT A GIFT DECISION. Read my first post on Saturday night! I gave the nod to Kovalev. I picked Ward to win in the build up of the fight! I've always expressed a liking to both Ward and Kovalev! I watched the fight again and I can see how people could see ward winning! I just laugh at you fools that think the fight was a Kovalev blowout...it wasn't. I knew if there was any doubt about Ward winning none of the Kovalev fanboys would admit Ward fought a good fight. That's why I'm here talking sh!t to you, not because I'm a Ward fanboy because the sport of boxing would be better off without the likes of haters like you! I am very objective when it comes to boxing. One of my last post before the fight, I said it was going to be a tit for tat kind of a fight. Before you respond to this post, go back and read my post before the fight. You will know what I'm about crybaby!!!

 

Shhhhhhhhhh.... Just gooooo with it. Don't fight it. Let it happennnnnnn. Kovalev is the better fighter. It's better over here on the NONE DELUDED SIDE!!! Trust me. And I never said it was a Sergey blowout. But he won and won by a couple of points. And aren't opponents supposed to actually BEAT the champ to get the belt?! Like convincingly?? You can't sit there and say Ward did that!! Lol

One thing we can agree on is the rematch will be A BIG FIGHT!! I'm thinking bigger than Mayweather v.s Pac.

No and I really don't think you do either. The fight last Saturday did about 400k at best. The rematch should do better than Pac v Mayweather in a perfect world because it will be a much better fight but it will probably fall short by a couple of million.

 

Ward should Unify...forget the rematch, he should look to fight Stevenson and then look back toward Kovalev in my opinion!
