Will Ward vs Kovalev be on par with Louis-schmeling in terms of historical significance?

I know the circumstances and consequences of everything that could happen. Russia can't win. They can do some major damage, but people really don't know our true capability.

if america and russia start lobbing nukes, odds are china, france, britain, india, pakistan, israel, iran, soon will too. it would be stone age for survivors, assuming there were any.

Kovalev and his family live in Florida. He's pretty much an American now. Ward's attempt to promote the fight as a US vs. Russia thing is ridiculous. People are not naive like they used to be. This is a boxing match between two good fighters. It has nothing to do with politics.

Absolutely! It has also nothing to do with Louis-Schmeling...

Hitler's declaration of war on America was an odd one.
Admittedly, America was already engaged in an unofficial naval war of sorts against Germany in the Atlantic but following Pearl Harbor it was very possible that attention would be diverted away from such exercises if Hitler hadn't decided to declare war.

I don't think so, there is no win in a world war. We might tear up somebody else's country in a proxy war but that's about it.

Well you haven't been paying attention to what's going on in the Middle East... a Third World War is pretty much guaranteed at this point

Do you understand that you listed at least five nuclear armed countries? Do you know what that means? The powers that be are not that reckless or stupid.

Well the conflict in Syria is driving us closer and closer to an all out global thermonuclear war.
