He's already had his tuneups and he's not receiving much credit so he still has to save face.

    Soooo... what's the problem, CJ?

No problem at all Alex IF Ward agrees to honor the rematch clause next. Make it a good clean fight with unbiased judges, not the Vegas mafia this time. Be better if not held in Vegas at all.
All I want to see , same as every fight I watch, may the best man win with no contraversy

I think that's why Ward desperately wants to fight Kovalev again, though he's not coming out and saying it because it wouldn't make him look good. He fairly thinks he won, but he wants to prove to himself as much as the world that he can beat Kovalev more clearly. I go back and forth for either guy 114-113 (because of the 6th), but I favour Ward in a rematch because I think the public backlash and pressure will bring out the best in him.

Vegas ain't Ward's backyard, he's an Oakland cat, remember? And that's still American soil, judges can travel, people can be paid. Kind of negates your already weak argument.

A better question is Why do people doubt Ward will rematch? And if fighting in Vegas (or the US, apparently) is a problem, why didn't Kovalev suggest Russia?

Ward will rematch Kovalev and on HBO again, even though he probably shouldn't. That's the safe bet actually. I think those talking about these boxers being afraid to get the ring haven't been in a fight before. Ward has felt Kovalev's power, and knows how to deal with it. The notion that Ward is afraid is ridiculous.

Read my post again Alex OK ? They had to use dynamite to get Ward to fight outside Oakland at all going to Vegas was another world almost . He must have chosen the officials to do it
Getting Ward to fight Sergey in Russia would be totally impossible
There are many many good honest referees & judges in the US even a few in Vegas like C J Ross but they soon get rid of them don't they ROFL

And the minute something doesn't go your way in a Ross fight you'll cry foul.

How many times has Ward fought in Vegas?

Let's hope so, and whoever said ward figure him out and it's gonna be easier, I disagree, the public and the judges know what happened in the first fight, in fact ward needs to do double what he did or else it will be a reverse. Holyfield Lennox, Barrera morales, pac Bradley. I hope these ring a bell.

I am certain that legal action can be taken against Ward and his team if they were to take such drastic actions.
