Oliver Mccall is a Former world heavyweight champion who holds wins over former world champions larry holmes, lennox lewis, bruce seldon, oleg maskaev and henry Akinwade. Greg Haugen is a former lightweight world champion who holds wins over former world champions Ray Mancini, Hector Camacho, Vinny Pazienza and Jimmy Paul. Chris Eubank is a former middle and supermiddle world champoin who holds wins over former world champions Nigel benn, Graciano Rocchigiani, Lindell Holmes, Tony Thornton and Thulani Malinga. Also i think Michael Watson should be in there WHAT HE HAS COME THROUGH IN LIFE, IS BETTER THAN ANY BOXING WIN. As a fighter michael beat nigel benn takeing his unbeaten record got robbed against eubank in there first fight, lost a great effort to mike mccallum for the world middleweight title, and was commonwealth middleweigh champion
The one I'd love to see get in would be Haugen, but I'm afraid he falls just short of the mark by the concensus of the boxing intelligensia, whoever the hell they are. If Haugen dosen't get in, then Pazienza and Mancini sure as hell don't belong either.
HOF doesnt mean great fighter or ATG. if there was only great fighters inducted, there would be no need for A hof weekend every year eubank maybe worthy out of tyhem.
Eubank is the best chance out of the lot. The other fighters don' belong anywhere near the term of "greatness."
Eubank will probably get inducted, but isn't worthy. Most overrated fighter of the last 20 years -- but one hell of a showman.
exactly, and he'll get in on talent not resume. and as said below (sorry mate, i only know how to quote one at a time) showmanship. eubank was the best fighter, in the best super-middleweight era and could have been an ATG in the right era. eubank will probably get in in one of those dry years when they're looking for modern fighters to induct
Who the hell did Eubank ever beat, except for Benn? The best kept secret on this side of the Atlantic was Eubank...and they like to criticise Calzaghe..hell, at least he came over and showed his wares before his career was over. I still say, the only one I'd applaud for getting in the ibhf would be Haugen..and that won't happen.
McCallum turned Watson into his *****; Watson was destroyed by McCallum, period; there was no glory from that totally one-sided defeat.
