Will we now see Wlad go back to the aggressive KO machine he used to be?

He may have been more of a puncher in dominating Byrd, however he fought primarily with the jab against Austin, and Brock.

he will never be the offensive terror he was pre-sanders. he looked like the second coming of Joe Louis. But he was all-offense. Now, he is a more complete fighter: better defense, pacing, intelligence, ring generalship. I would say he is much more difficult to beat now. Less exciting to the average fan though.

A lot of those guys he was knocking out earlier in his career were fringe contenders. Now, he's facing top 10 guy one after the other and usually stopping them. The knockouts will come. I would say he needs to be more confident and let his hands go more. The chim, imo, isnt as big an issue. He will rebound and put on a better show next time but he's always going to be methodical and not a killer like a Tyson

:nod ive been stuck at home so ive been playing around with them. use a software program to convert from video to gif. then u upload on a image hosting site like tinypic.com. i can take requests. maybe peter's 3rd round against mccline :yep

If they put him in with a hopless case yeah he will look good, if Povetkin is next id put him in the hopeless case categor, ie a guy with absolutely no chance of competing with Wlad. He may be good at the level he has been fighting at but has zero chance at Wlads level.

He's not going to turn into Tyson '88 or anything but I'm certain he'll be looking to be aggressive and get a knockout in his next bout.

Only way I think he wouldn't would be if he ends up fighting another tricky southpaw, like Chagaev.

I still feel Tony Thompson would be a good one to show his skills off against, a big guy with a come-forward style.

He will always be cautious from now on bc he knows his chin is not reliable, but he was also like that in the fight with Byrd, Brock, Austin and Brewster.

The diference is that Sultan presented more danger to Wlad that the above fighters, so he was more carefull with his punches, and there was more at stake this time.

Even at that and having taken a while till throwing his right hand bombs, Wlad landed several right hands flush that would be enough to KO 98% of the HWs out there, just not enough for the tough durable Ibragimov.

Next fight, if the opponent is not Chagaev, who I feel would make Wlad fight the exact same way he fought Ibragimov, we should see Wlad more inclined to let his hands go.

I agree. I think he'll make a conscous attempt to be more agressive next fight, in light of the beating he's taken in the press for this play it safe win......but I also don't think he'll get overly agressive and careless.

Afterall, it is fairly important for a heavyweight, who is wanting to establish himself as THE MAN, to give the fans what they want, but its even more important to win.....Cause if he were to not win (meaning, LOSE) , all the aggression in the world would not amount to anything, now would it?

I think we'll see the aggression turned up more, but not to the point of risking the all important win.

Wlad will fight aggresive if he fights someone like a Thompson or Gomez, a fighter he doesnt have to be that nervous of getting hit by. If he takes on a Peter or Virchis, there's no way in hell he should take the chance and be aggresive, even he knows he will get knocked out or hurt badly if he tries that with a puncher.
