http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=c80_5gFDSKE Gary Stretch is Roach's assist trainer. Gary saying Khan got the better of Pacman in sparring on most days
he cant go backwards from here ,lets be honest. if he is sparring with pacman that can only improve a boxers performance. he just got to not get hit as everyone now knows he has a suspect chin.
I dont think there will be a drastic improvement but no doubt there will be some improvement you cant change the way a fighter fights over night. Its one thing to apply what youve learned during training is sparring its completely different to apply them in the heat of battle.
word..people shouldn't count Khan out, he still has a lot potential, he just needs someone to turn that into raw skill, and Freddie Roach is the perfect guy to do it
Khan can only afford to fight the lightest punchers there are out there his chin is pure china, a fight with Pauli is the biggest profile fight there is without having to worry about his chin
He was running with Pacquiao in the first week of the 24/7's wasnt he? And i hope it does make him better he can only go up from here, because if he losses again he really should say goodbye to his career. *Waits for someone to say "he's only 21"*
The thing about Khan is his always one shot away from defeat. His been hurt by light punches and totally destroyed by the first heavy puncher he thought. He was rocked by a jab.
His training should be being a punching bag of Packy. That would help his chin out. Feel the pain Khan, live with it.
did anyone else notice in the second episode of 24/7 when khan spoke at the start he spoke about sparring with pac as though he were the champ and he was paying pacman for the sparring.khan will have to tighten up his defence if he is fight at world level because he has to have the worst chin in the game today.i have never seen anyone rocked by a jab like that before!what makes it even worse is that it was in round 1
I still rate Khan in most fields, just his chin will never ever let him be a world class fighter. He may bag a title one day.
