Mark, Shavers was a murderous puncher... in the 70s vs. 190-210# "HWs". I loved Shavers fights but the guy had so so stamina and a weak chin. CW Quarry and crude slugger Ron Stander stopped Earnie. As for Ali was decked by LHW+ H Cooper and by today's standards very small HW Frazier. Too many fans build up Ali's opponents to build up Ali as this HW "God". That Ali didn't stop Shavers after the mid rounds shows that he was having an off night. I don't even think Ali was dominant for his era although overall the best. Yes, he lost 3 prime years (which was entirely his fault). But no one posts that if he fought in those years he would've sustained some wear and tear and would've looked even worse in those later fights vs. Norton and others. No, it's all blue skies when analyzing his career.
Depends on how much of Wilder is left after Fury gets done with him. I'd say yes. Wilder looks like one of those guys that blows through his money and eventually he's gonna need a payday and clock in to get his ass whooped by Wilder.
Wow, that's hilarious. Prime Holmes, Louis, Ali get destroyed by Fury. Fury wouldn't get past Liston and Frazier, baby. Foreman was a better fighter, about the same level of puncher (with both hands) and a far better finisher than Deontay. Troll alert!
We don't know that for sure. Once he kos Fury I wouldn't have a problem with him taking an easier fight.
Well good thing you don’t have a problem with that because if he ko’s fury he’s gonna have easy fights till he retires. Also, we do know that for sure, he’s been having easy fights his whole career and got whooped both times he took a hard one, he’s not taking the risk of fighting above average fighters
I want to see AJ vs Wilder at some stage. I predict it will happen after Fury has beaten both of them.
How many rounds did Wilder actually win vs Fury? 3 of 17? Joshua would Drill this one trick pony who can’t box or take a punch.
Fury would miss more punches v Clay/Ali than any fighter he has fought before, Ali was quicker than any fighter Fury has beaten.
If he loses again he`ll fall down the pecking order, fighters are coming up and a win over Martin or Kownacki won`t put him above Usyk in the pecking order, he`ll probably have to beat someone like Ruiz to get back up there and he`s running out of time, he`s 34 or 35.
Fundamentals beat timing, but I will agree that Fury has better fundamentals than Ali, but not better timing, Ali landed more counters during his career.
