For years people were wittering on about this fight. Frampton this, Quigg that. Quiggyframptonquiggsterframpwampquiggframphesaidshesaidt'ist'aint. For years I thought you were all insane, as I had managed to miss both of these dwarves entire careers. Not seen so much as a punch. Then, as the fight grew near, I began to get into the hype. Quigg grinning holding that cheque, as someone said, like a star from the Undateables. Frampton being menacing and all angry and Irish. It was going to be a WAR after all. Then......the fight happened. Quigg hopped about like a midget Bambi on ice. Frampton threw arm punches. Both froze. It was a stinker. An absolute dud. Both of them can bore off. And you lot can bore off as well for mentioning their names.

No. I think the best thing all round is if we just never speak of this (or them) again.

    Fram-what? Qui-who?

The fight was dog mess and apparently the PPV numbers where shocking - thankfully there is zero chance of a rematch. The general public are not interested in paying PPV
To see 2 dwarfs barely throw a punch- both need to go upto feather and get sparked by Santa Cruz and Lomochenko etc

Why? Only reason to have a rematch is if it's a controversial or very close fight or if it's a great fight. Frampton was the clear winner, only a mong would score that for Quigg, the fight wasn't great not awful like people make out but there's better fights out there for both guys. No point in a rematch when the first fight has already told us who's better.

If Quigg couldnt win on the night when he had everything stacked firmly in his favour why would it be any different in a rematch which would prob happen in Belfast?

Frampton has superfights to look forward at home and in the U.S as where Quigg will return to the domestic level fighting on Matchroom fighters undercards where he belongs...

Unfortunately for Quigg he is a product of the Matchroom propaganda machine and he prob believes the hype Eddie has built around him, id be surprised if he ever captures a legitimate title

The best Quigg can hope for is another payday either a domestic rival such as Galahad or a gifted shot against a current champ whos looking an easy nights work...

and this is before u consider if there will be any lasting implications from the broken jaw he got when fighting Frampton, imagine if it takes away from him the same as it took from Burns

awk but sure he works hard and lives the life ehh?

Don is right everyone. Let's close this one up and move along. I'd rather watch Tibbs have a fight, at least he is game (like when he traveled to Chelmsford to c0ck-slap Solaris).

Agree. Fight didn't live up to the hype but the hype justified the PPV. I had no problem paying for the fight but did expect more. Think both can look better against other opposition and should go there own routes.

Quigg needs to rebuild and hope confidence hasn't taken a battering from the jaw. Frampton has the opportunity to get more big fights and hopefully look good beating well known world class opposition.

If they do meet again in the next couple of years it will either be due to an excellent return from Quigg with good promotion or Frampton hasn't capitalised on the W - either way fans will be sceptical, won't be the same hype and it won't be worth anywhere near the same money.

Like both fighters, predicted Quigg to win but had Frampton as a clear winner on the night

No point in a rematch. It's a fight Quigg cannot win. There's a gulf in class which would be even more evident in a 2nd fight.

Len I bet you had a heart seizure when one pathetic little Mick actually got a win.

Quigg obliterates Frampton in the rematch and you know it. Frampton would never take the rematch. Hopefully he will grow some ***** and take his beating off Rigo like a man.

Why are you calling me Len? lol

Quigg is limited, and like many Gallagher fighters, he boxes to order but lacks adaptability. Had Quigg teed-off from the start he would have got countered. So he chose to be circumspect... and got picked off. Quigg himself called it a catch-22. That's what happens when you step up to a level you don't have the skill-set to deal with. He kinda admitted he wasn't good enough by saying whatever he did in the early rounds Frampton would have had an answer to.

And for a fighter famed for his dedication to training, that's now two world title fights where he failed to get a win because he had to pace himself in the first six rounds.

In fact, tell me if I'm wrong but I don't think he's actually won a world title in the ring. Both were handed to him, weren't they? He must be the only fighter in history to hold two world title belts but never actually won a fight to get them. Decent fighter and like the lad but limited.

Hope not, both over-rated. Both need to stop ducking Rigo.
