Gave it all up. You always hear the stories about boxers getting screwed over. What you don't hear about are all the trainers, and managers that put there heart and soul into developing a fighter only to have that fighter turn on the. I have been involved with two high profile fighters. Kermit Cintron and Hasim Rahman. They both screwed me over big time. Never again. I'll stick to watching the fights on tv. That's it for me.
If Rahman stiffed you for your services that is pathetic. I have always thought Rahman was lazy and I can't believe how many chances he got in his career.
Isn't his son a sparring partner for some of the bigger name heavies? He must be pretty decent, if the top fighters use him.
There has to be some people in boxing with at least some integrity despite all these bad things that happened to you?
Man, that is ****ed up. Sorry to hear that. He was 320 lbs. when you began working with him!! That is a **** load of weight, especially since he is only what, 6'2"?
Wow, I didn't know this. He must be pretty damned good if he is working with top fighters. I know he was training under Emannuel Steward for awhile, anybody know if this is still the case or not?
Hopefully if Rahman was stiffing sparring partners someone will stiff his son or better yet put a beating on him to teach a lesson. There is no excuse for not paying sparring partners or trainers etc.
Also not fair to beat the **** out of somebody's son for them not paying you, lol. But yeah, that is a shitty thing to do on Rahman's part.:-(
