Povetkin has gone to another level since losing to klitschko, he's crushed everyone that's been put infront of him and those were good fighters too!
The fact that povetkin has decided to take on wach rather than take an easy fight to tick over before wilder speaks volumes!
Not sure povetkin about povetkin beating klitschko in a rematch but he'll definetly make mince meat of wilder.

    Probably not.

A win over Povetkin wouldn't be enough, he would need to beat the winner of Wlad-Fury (Wlad) too to get that kind of appeal.

    Can't see that happening.

Povetkin us completely unknown in the US. So no, Wilders 'star status' will not change. He's a nobody now, and will be so next year.

Deontay is turning out to be a poor cherry picking champion. He will do anything to avoid his mandatory (Povetkin) Molina is a terrible defence, Arreola or Hughie Fury is horrendous selection for a man who wants to make a statement .. The only statement he is making at the minute is, "I'm getting away with murder." Povetkin would beat Wilder purely because he hasn't had tough fights to prepare him for a Povetkin.. He will lose that title down the line and fizzle out just like guys like Maskaev and Peter..

He's the heavyweight version of GRJ: fights a row of bums, and the moment he steps up, he'll get cruched.

Nope, Wilder's a joke. He has the most protected and manufactured resume in boxing. In 5 years he's facing the same level of opposition that a prospect would after 1-2 years and he's holding the WBC belt ffs.

    Glass Jawed fraud.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

This describes it perfectly. The only thing Wilder is going to do once is starts fighting top fighters, is to get knocked out.:yep
