This is what makes boxing hard to stomach. Wilder is not the Heavyweight Champion, he is merely an alphabet belt-holder. The two are not synonymous terms. Therefore his total looks nothing like Louis', Ali's, Klitschko's, all the way down the line. Corbett has more and he only had one.

Until Wilder becomes the man this discussion is not worth having.

Since Louis was “THE CHAMP” and WIlder is a mere belt holder, he would actually need to become “THE CHAMP” and make 1 defense before we can really even ask this question!

Even Sugar Nicolai Valuev went 48:0 before his first loss. The records are padded these days and mean nothing.
Only Lewis, Holyfield and Wladimir have good resumes since 90s.

    Maybe he should just unify.

Great post. How many threads does there need to be about Wilder beating weak opposition.

    No.

    A) Louis has the title for UNDISPUTED defenses. Wilder would only get a separate record for "defenses of any roughly co-equal championship."

    B) Fury will beat him

    C) If not, Wilder is poor enough so that one of the part-time carnival fatmen he fights will beat him

Then why ask the question if you don't want feedback?

Even if he only fights low level comp
It'll be impossible, nowadays, the top guys only fight like 2-3 times a year max
    He won't have enough time
