After King Kong Ortiz KTFO of Wilder next, do y'all think Wilder will continue his boxing career or will he retire and go back to driving Trucks of beer for Budweiser?

He'll work his way up the murderer's row of the IBO rankings to become Joshua's mandatory in an attempt to get the cash out fight he's long been chasing.

    3 ways

    1. retires after loss

    2. retires after loss and one more win against a can

    3. Or cashes out and fights another 5-6 fights losing 3-4 of them.

With over protected mongs who have a strap and undefeated record or only one loss, its always one of those 3 routes.

i would like to see 3, because i think he has David Price esque KO loss entertainment there somewhere waiting to get out

Well, if indeed that does occur, he might try setting up a dancing studio and giving Salsa dancing lessons in view of how rhythmically he swiveled his hips to the impact of Chris Areola's hip shots.

Wilder won't fight Ortiz. This is just his usual yapping. He'll end up fighting Molina again probably.

i also cannot see wilder v ortiz happening

has it been offically confirmed yet ? or is it internet talk
saw the stiverne interview with the blogger so it looks like its very possible we will get a wilder v ortiz fight.

    just cannot see the logic
you build a fighter up to a 35-0 record making sure he fights no one with much power / you get him the softest /safest opponents and then when at the top of the food chain you throw him in the deep end voluntarily for no money or not much than you would get for a gimmee fight.

i am happy its possibly is happening / but if i was team wilder i would go joshua /fury/wlad when stepping up not a hard punching counter puncher who waits on mistakes / when my fighter makes loads of mistakes on offense /

in sparring for this fight they want to stick wilders arm in a sling and just make him use his jab /speed and legs as imo if wilder goes right hand happy v ortiz he will get KTFO if he uses length /speed /height and jab / boxes within himself he has a good chance / just since he fought stiverne when he boxed well / his defenses have been **** losing rounds many times to very average fighters.

i will watch but do not see the logic in team wilders pick.

eddie hearn must be happy its not joshua in with ortiz.

Wilder seems like a guy who has a world of talent but his dedication and work ethic are average at best.

Seems completely the opposite actually. When have you ever seen Wilder out of shape? When have you ever seen him throw a combination that didn't make him look like a scarecrow having an epileptic fit?

I doubt it if it's bad ko. Doesn't have a huge number of brain cells to play with as it is.

HIs sloppy skills are a direct result of his questionable work ethic. He may look in shape but from what ive read smoking weed, drinking alchohol and not doing road work or weight training isnt going to help you be the best fighter you can be. By talent i was referring to his physical gifts which are undeniable.

I get what you're saying, but his physical gifts are really only limited to his height and punching power. They do not extend to anything resembling coordination, balance, grace or rhythm which are the hallmarks of true athletic talent.

My understanding is that he has signed his side, he's waiting for Ortiz to sign the other side.

Wilder had a horrific run of opponents until now but this time I think he really is serious about fighting Ortiz. Deontay wants to make a statement to the boxing world and he also thinks that Ortiz is overrated and he can beat him. Ortiz is a Haymon fighter so Haymon is happy for the fight to go ahead.

I think Wilder will beat Ortiz. It sounds strange saying it, but Ortiz really is overrated...his best win? Probably Jennings when Jennings came in with such a stupid gameplan and got stung.

These things have everything to do with his training. In boxing these things are taught they dont come naturally. They must be worked on till its muscle memory. Sure some guys pick it up faster than others but that has nothing to do with athletic ability. DW has poor footwork which causes him to be off balance when throwing or avoiding punches which makes it difficult to look graceful and when hes so sloppy theres no way of gathering and getting into any type of rhythm. I agree athleticism or lack there of can effect these things but DWs issues arent athleticism its skill.
