Whoever wins this deserves to be called the number 1 HW

Haters gonna hate, but unless It’s a controversial decision, the winner will be recognised as the #1 HW in the world.

Wilder will win imo, and when he does he'll finally have a key win. So Yeah, he'll deserve plenty of credit, and would be the clear #1 HW in the world.

But that's all... A win over Fury ain't gonna change the fact he lost the first one and had a gift draw. It ain't gonna change the fact that he's fought one live dog since winning the title(other than Fury) who was at least 40 and never beaten anyone. It won't change the fact that his résumé is dire and his entire résumé is filler bar 3 fights. It won't change he looked abysmal against lackluster opposition.

He should get credit, but for what he's actually achieved, not what people think he can achieve.

If he wins without controversy then he gets major respect from me. Hard not to unless you're looking for ways to downgrade him, and I don't play that game. Even if Fury shows up grossly overweight and/or depressed and fights like crap I'll give Wilder respect.

No, these dudes don’t even give Canelo credit with his resume, they won’t give Wilder credit either.

If Wilder were to travel to the UK or to a neutral country and beat Fury, then he would deserve credit.

But by always defending his WBC belt in the comfort of his home country, he deserves less credit than someone like Joshua who has had his two title fights in foreign countries.

No. A lot of people made up their minds about DW long ago and will stick to the script.

It wouldn’t make me like him any more. It would make him the #1 HW though. So yeah, I’ll give him credit.

If it's an unquestionable win, KO or points, he'll get huge credit in general.
    A few exceptions:

    > He KOs Fury round 1 with the first punch or so, like Stiverne, it always looks flukey and people question the opponent's condition, it's just how it is. He should get the credit technically, but it seems it's better to win with a few more rounds playing out to show he can handle a bit more resistance from the opponent.

    > The cut opens badly and truly compromises Fury, particularly if Wilder gets a TKO out of it. Wilder didn't really cause the cut, it was half an hour with Wallin punching and tearing it. So it would definitely lessen the victory and I would say if was a cut TKO/doctor stoppage most would rightly question it.

    > Dodgy stoppage. This always taints a victory.

Both Wilder & Fury's resume's are dire, so Till both or the Winner fight AJ thay can not be No1.
The Credit has to be made @ least out of the 3 AJ faced much better boxers.
I used to think Fury would be king of the 3 but not atm over his resume.
Respect has to be earned both Wilder & Fury have not done enough.
Fury says he gone in 3 fights & with his resume that's a joke same said for Wilder.

No he waited for fury to get fat & old!
Listen I think he should. Fury is damn good & if Wilder can smoke him that is quite impressive!

Depends a lot in what shape Fury shows up. If he comes in fat, just to pick up his last paycheck then Wilder will get very little credit.

Some will, a lot will still find a way to **** on it. Fury's age will likely be called into question or something

People will find a way to downgrade Wilder because they refuse to give him credit for anything he does. These are the same fans who said he was too much of a ***** to fight a dangerous Cuban southpaw like Ortiz, but they conveniently forgot about all that once Wilder did fight him.

They also forget that he tried to fight Povetkin in Russia, and some of the true loons have concocted conspiracy theories about making Povetkin's positive test (despite the fact that everyone knew he was juicing).

Given how they've acted already, there's no way they'll give Wilder any credit for winning. (And I actually think he's going to lose, but we'll see.)
