If he puts more pounds into his body (Lets say he weights 220 - 225 pounds come fight night against Fury in the rematch).
I think it depends on Fury. If I were Fury I would think box box box. Don't try and land punches, because the second he opens up and tries to hurt Wilder is when he is countered. And if that knockdown happens in round 10 for example, I don't think he recovers. Weight will not have anything to do with Fury's skills. Stick to the jab and moving his head and staying out the punching range. Concentrate. The second he is not concentrating on defense,, he is open to punches.
It's close to call, Fury will out box Wilder thats a given as he gets out boxed by even average boxers. Whether Fury's glass jaw will hold up is another question. Really actually want these two guys to fight top 15 opponents (which they haven't doing the majority of their careers) than fight each other so we can actually establish their quality.
I think putting on weight is actually a bad idea. Building muscle and getting stronger are not always the same thing. If he puts weight on i dont even think Fury will notice and still be plenty stronger than him. However what it will do is slightly slow Wilder down. What Wilder needs to do is admit he got beat in the 1st fight and then look at why he got beat. It wasnt from him not being able to push Fury around he lost it by not setting up his shots and making it easy for Fury to see his power punches coming. Getting a bit bigger isnt going to make things any better or easier for Wilder.
I think the putting on more weight for the second fight was kidology on Wilders part. It's clearly not going to help him in a second Fury fight.
Fury is by far the better boxer with a much higher ring IQ. I tend to favour the better, more intelligent fighter in a rematch as they are more equipped to learn from the first fight. Add in the fact that Fury will be fitter and more confident for the rematch, then I fancy Fury to be more dominant. At best, Wilder has a Punchers chance.
It could happen, the main concern with Fury is that it was partly his own stupidity and showboating which caused him to get, especially with the first KD and I don't he'll be able to stop himself showboating again because he's not right in the head.
I got Wilder sparking fury out this time around . But to answer your yes he has more of a chance of actually knocking out fury this time if he comes in heavier. 20 pounds extra definitely gives you alot more power especially when you are Wilder. The heaviest windmill has ever weighed was 227 .on average he use to weigh 220-225 but he probably cut some weight down to work on stamina
So all who have been dropped in the past have glass JAWS? & gone on to win fights, man loads of boxers who have been dropped are called greats.
Deontay has already knocked Fury down twice. 3rd strike and he's out! Lol Fury will regret getting in the ring with the devastating bronze bomber!
I think one can argue that Fury has an equally better chance in the rematch. I picked Wilder to win the first time around and the draw was the only reason I didn't lost a bet I made. It was close, but smart money is on a Fury win. Wilder has a puncher's chance, and even then he needs to learn to close the show.
