No - I can see him having one final hurrah.

Yeah it's pretty obvious. Much of what he does is attention seeking behaviour. I don't think he really cares about legacy when it comes to boxing at all, he's simply in it for the money and the attention it brings and probably the attention more so than even the money. Otherwise he'd have fought AJ for the ridiculous 100 mill but it was more important to keep the title and keep the attention that brought him.

I think that Wilder would likely retire in that situation, however feel more sure that Fury would exit stage left if he himself lost by anything other than maybe a cut or controversial decision.

He should but he won't. I can see him lingering on well into his forties

He'll go into hiding again, then crawl out the woodwork to fight what he sees as some easy mark and probably lose or struggle in victory then maybe fight a few more times and get KOed by one of the up and comers. After that he'll either retire for good, or turn into one of those guys who just ***** themselves out for their declining years till they're too bashed and beaten up to physically get licenced. By that point he'll be massively brain damaged and likely suffering all sorts of out of the ring issues.

I don’t think he’ll retire but if he loses again, especially in brutal fashion, then his time as a world title challenger will be over.

Nah there’s still fights out there for him, he will probably just put it down to Fury having his number, but if he were to lose again in his next few fights after this I think he may call it a day though.

I don't think Wilder will retire. He will go on and fight bums to collect some money.

Do you really need to ask that question?

Not voluntarily. It could be that Fury does him irreparable damage though.
