To be undisputed they need to beat him, and any other title claimants that might arise.

To prove themselves king of the division they need to beat him.

But to be higher ranked then him, they're both already there imo.

He's an underdog vs either man, he's been knocked out, he might well prove himself if he gets the fight, but I would be surprised if he beat either.

I just don't want to see AJ play diva and insist on anything better than 50/50 vs either.

All three of them have showed significant flaws.

Wilder has a weak resume for a 10-defence WBC title-holder, and he lost to Fury in the eyes of most observers.

Fury had some significant mental issues that derailed the agreed-upon rematch with Wlad.
Then he had a great performance, a D which should have been a W, against Wilder.
And then seriously struggled against unknown and unranked Walin.
    Hot and Cold.

And of course, AJ has his loss against Ruiz.

Of the three, I see AJ as the best boxer and, on his best night, the H2H best.

    But not by much.

Fury, my favourite of the three, surprised me against Wlad when I gave him little chance.
He did so again when I expected him to get KO'd by Wilder.

I wrote Wilder off as a serious HW champion for a long time on account of his resume.
But it has improved and he has shown the importance of the great equalizer, his big right hand.

So any fight between any two of these three is almost a pick'em.

That's a separate thing and has little to do with boxing per se. Oscar made four times what Shane made in their rematch, despite losing the first fight...and the second.

Did AJ deserve five to seven times the purse that Ruiz got for the Saudi bout ?

    Absolutely not.

Whoever has the bargaining clout to extract the most money will usually go for it.

Personally I think Fury's claim to the lineal title is weak. I know he beat the man, but how long can you be out of the ring for and / or defending your title against nobodies before you lose it. I'm not saying he has no claim to it, and I understand the argument for as well, but his claim isn't rock solid for me. My view is that it's up in the air at the moment until Joshua (or anyone who beats him) fights the winner of Fury vs Wilder. The winner of that fight is clearly "The Man".

Clearly there has to be some time limit on inactivity?
