Who do you favor in the rematch and why?

I have a tingling sensation in my ballsack that tells me he might. No sound logic behind it whatsoever.

I think Williams may have vastly overlooked Quintana due to how brutally Cotto handled him. I think Williams will make the adjustments and win this time, but I'm not sure enough about it to throw money down.

I'm goin' for Williams by close decision this time.. It's a hard call for me, but like a few people have mentioned, I see him adjusting and fighting a much better fight against Quintana than the last time.. I wouldn't care who would win though..

I think he overlooked Quintana also. I look for Williams to try to keep more distance than last time and REALLY work behind that jab for 12 rounds. With his reach, he should have more success if he does this. It will be interesting to see what actually happens.

I feel the same, I think Williams totaly underestimated Quintanna the 1st time. He was looking passed him, did not train or prepare properly and got ****ed up.

He will be much busier this time around and will better utilize his height, reach and win a decision.

hope I am wrong Im pulling for Q but cant shake the feeling he will lose.

Williams didn't know how to cut off the ring after 30+ professional fights and isn't gonna learn how to in 4 months time. I say Quintana beats that ass again. More than likely by UD, but I wouldn't rule out a TKO. I think Quintana would have a good chance at stopping Paul on accumulation if he can regain the conditioning he had for the Julio fight. Dude fought outside in 100+ degree heat and at a pretty steady pace for the duration of the fight. Against Paul, he seemed to hit a wall around the half way mark, and began fighting in spurts. Also, the cuts from the first fight could be a factor. Paul needed 9 stitches to close up a cut on one eye, and 3 over the other.

Paul Williams has barely heard of a jab. That's what I don't understand about him, he drains his ass down, presumably for the immense physical advantages he enjoys and he fails to capitilise on his strengths. Instead of fighting from range behind the jab, and putting the combinations together he is capable of with his work-rate, he stands in mid-range and fires off arm punches

He's truely an enigma to me. I can only presume he doesn't have much technical talent, he relies on his physical attributes. He doesn't look like he had an amateur career

I'm pretty sure he never had an amateur fight.

If he can keep Quintana out of rhythm and uncomfortable, he can.

I think Williams over looked him the first time. Williams will win and easy.

    Really? :think

My estimation of him just went up a notch. It is always impressive to get to that level without any amateur career. Kudos.

Umm, he was using the jab beautifully against Margarito. He was basically shutting Marg out with his jab, length, and acitivity up until the 6th round or so. And i don't think Williams is really the type of guy who can put together good combinations. That's why he's limited. He does get by on freakish height, reach, and activity.

I still havn't seen the discipline of being able to maintain a composed fight behind the jab from Williams, he falls back into the same habits soon enough

I see no reason why he can't put combinations together, if he worked on it. He better do, because his only real strength right now is his work-rate, and he isn't bothering anybody with single shots. Hasn't got the timing or power.
