His trainer has been arrested and this could cause issues what do you think? Take his chance at GGG with turmoil in camp? Or call off the fight to make sure he is 100% ready and focused for the fight? He's already an under dog this could only hurt his camp more!

If I were him I would make sure my camp was 100% for a GGG fight even if it meant waiting to fight GGG later.

Good thing the mods erased your other thread, all we need is for people to run with that and have a reason to hate willie monroe jr.. too many people judge fighters on their outside lives rather then their in ring talents.... its really unacceptable imo.

The thread asked whether his trainer not being there would have an impact on Willie on fight night and whether it would effect his camp. I don't see how that's not boxing related. It isn't one of the typical " PAC has leg cramps " threads.......

Yea I reworked it. Willie is a young fighter with promise and I already believe he is getting fed to a lion too early. I hope he takes it as a sign and pulls out he needs more fights at a higher level I believe to be ready for GGG. The kids got courage but he is also going to need his trainer.

Who knows, sometimes adversity prompts growth.

Still, I feel bad for Willie to have this kind of distraction going into the biggest fight of his career. There will also be a ton of pressure on him to go ahead with fight, from his promoter and HBO.

Kid is in a tough spot, all he can do is fight through it - literally and figuratively.

Monroe Jr is in a tough spot without distractions.
His trainer selling meth to an undercover cop(allegedly)probably won't help Monroe Jr's preparations.

If Monroe pulls out he will just get replaced by Helland or Johnson. This fight date is about Golovkin: It will not get s****ped if his opponent pulls out. At least not this far out.

I think Willie will be better off without a meth dealer in his corner. Call me crazy, but I don't put much faith in a guy that sells meth as his side job to sports training. How hard is it going to be to find a better trainer than a meth addict?
