Hope not. Not much to gain, and stands to lose more than what he can gain.

Vlad has already said that he will enforce the rematch clause, and Fury has made it clear that he will accept.

Why would Vlad say no to another multi-million dollar payday before retirement?

He fought about as bad a fight as it gets

Physically he can do it. Next time he will have to bring a different strategy

A rematch should look very different as neither guy did all that much

Any small adjustment either way could prove huge

Yeah, but he won't have any easier a time against Fury. He'll be older, even more gunshy.....doesn't bode well.

Yeah but I think Fury will have a voluntary defense first.

Obviously he was going to say he wanted a rematch in the post fight press conference but I have a feeling that once he watches the fight and has a discussion with his team he'll decide against it and retire.

I think it really is 50/50, I would like to know what he thinks after watching the fight back.

After the fight of course he will say he wants a rematch, what else can he say?

I think you'll certainly take the contractual rematch

Wlad and Vitali were both staunchly supporting the chance to prove Wlad is "so much better than was shown" as Vitali put it

I just hope in the training for a rematch he has a big and skilled enough sparring partner So he can devise an effective way of dealing with Tyson next time

The rematch should be good for the division as the "big shocking upset" sequel will gain much needed excitement and fan interest, Wlads dominance of everyone was getting too "same ol" time after time.

At least he wasn't destroyed or thrashed in a KO or one sided beating.

He just lost due to being ineffective against a bigger fighters attributes

And given that, the rematch should be very interesting Could go either way

I am picking Wlad by late tko IF he gets aggressive and starts to commit more

Wlad is not an idiot.... He will watch the tape back and realize why he lost this fight. He will do everything he can in camp not to make the same mistake again. He was TOO cautious. That cost him the fight here.
