Will Wlad get his respect years from now?

It depends what you mean by "respect". Theres no doubt hes regarded better today then when he was fighting. At the same time people really hold those early 3 losses against him. People who were around in say 2004 seem incapable of fully reversing the opinion they had of Wlad back then. Maybe future generations will see it different.
