He's secretly got his eye on David Haye, this will be the conversation with his assistant Penfold. Penfold,,, Well boss, Vitali has retired who should be our next Champion. Sillyman,,, Which Belt? Penfold,,, The normal one boss. Sillyman,,, Not the Diamond? Penfold,,, No. Sillyman,,, Eeerrrrr Who sells tickets? Penfold,,, Vitali's brother Wladimir does sir? Sillyman,,, No, No, No, We shall call Wladimir the Champion in recess of the country Europe. No I like David Haye. Penfold,,, Good choice sir, He's a decent fighter and sells tickets. Sillyman,,, Yes, Yes, Yes, he isn't pure white either, maybe we can pass him off as a Mexican? Penfold,,, Errrr Yes boss.
Take a fight with whoever gets it yes win? yes more than likely but politics may make him give up a title. Very hard because of things like that but it would be good to see him have all four.
If Wlad did go for the WBC & got it I'd tell the WBA to **** off for 12 months & let me be their only champion. The WBA in effect make it impossible for there to ever be a single guy holding all the belts without any other recognised 'World Champion' in the division (I'm talking the alphabets that matter), as if it wasn't hard enough to accomplish anyway.
I think Wlad would wait and see who won the WBC strap if Vitali retires. Unless Haye/Pulev/Price (Fury if he looks good March then add him to that list) wins the belt then he should go for it in my opinion and then fight in a farewell fight. Can't see the WBC situation be resolved soon though.
sauerland needs to man up and get povetkin in with wlad. divisions so dead at the minute. least povetkin will give it ago. the heavyweight ricky hatton is alex. :yep
