Wlad career isn't over , so it is possible that his accomplishments could surpass Lewis's, but its highly unlikely. Man to man, Lennox beats Wlad.
Truth is , neither is an all time great.

 

Then why do some people think that Lewis is an ATG?

Lewis is already an ATG, Wlad is well on his way to becoming one. Will Klitschko pass Lewis on the ATG list? Probably not. There aren't any Tysons or Holyfields for him to KO.

one reason only. He's NOT AMERICAN.

 

Wlad will never be considered a great, because he never beat a great. His resume sucks, its loaded with never was' and has beens, guys like Bryd, Brewster, and Peter top his list, none of which will be hall of famers when they retire. Wlad will never pass Lewis on the ATG list, I see him just cracking the top 20 if he beats the oppenents that were named on that list. I currently have him just behind Bowe on the ATG list, I still think Boxrec has him currently at around 40 all time.

Although Lewis is often overrated, he's still a great fighter. Not as great as the best HW of the era, Evander Holyfield, but still one of the better ATGs. Wlad Klitschko isn't close, and there simply aren't enough great fighters out there, right now. IF he beat all those guys mentioned AND defeated the next "great" fighter - likely someone we haven't heard of yet - late in his career, then you would have an argument, perhaps.

 

I can't understand how anyone rates holyfield higher than lewis in the heavyweight rankings, p4p he is obviously better than lewis but not as just a heavyweight.
