Wlad will not even make the top 15 if he beats this ok to above average fighters, none of these guys are great fighters, Chagaev is the only one on that list that I would call even good.

To all the people that says its not Wlads fault theres no one great out there for him to fight, well look what he did against Brewster the first time and Peter, he gassed out and got knocked out by Brewster, and barely survived against a sloppy punching Peter in his prime, sorry but Wlad is far from great IMO.

if wlad would rematch the people beat him then people would criticize him for fighting guys that are not in the picture at all. Atleast he rematched brewster.

It's exactly that attitude that shows just how overrated Lewis is by some fans.:yep

I think so. Here's the qualifier. Lewis beat past their best versions of Holyfield and Tyson. Check their records after they fought Lewis and you will see both HOF to be fighters were on the downside.

Ibragimov, Povetkin, Chagaev, and others are in their primes, and even if they lose they can still re-bound later. Beating a very good fighter in their prime trumps beating a ring legend who’s past their prime.

And your response shows how deluded you are about Holy's HEAVYWEIGHT career. :yep

But please, let's not get into that AGAIN!

Ahh, the joys of boxrec, eh?

Sure they went downhill on paper after the Lewis fights - he ruined them! :yep

Was Meldrick Taylor shot when he fought Chavez? Just looking at his post-Chavez record on boxrec, you might think so. :hey

The version of Tyson that Lennox beat was on a par with Sam Peter.
The version of Holy that he fought was better than any of Wlad's opponents, and probably better than Wlad himself.

......and Lewis while being utterly past prime at 38 beat a prime Vitali Klitschko at 31, a guy better than wlad will ever be, a guy that would always beat Wlad. Thankyou and goodnight to your viewpoint!

If he beats all comers and stays dominant in the form he has showed recently there is no telling, Stewart took Lewis back from 2 losses and Vlad should beat the men who beat him, Sanders and Purrity, just for the record and unify vs Sultan and Chagaev, not as easy as it sounds, then fight the Peter/Maskaev winner, then if Povetikin gets past Chambers and is still winning, fight him.....then Vlad will be looked at as dominant, something Holmes never did and is still considered great by some

    So?

    Tye Fields is 40-1.
    JC Gomez is 43-1.

The numbers aren't as important as the level of competition you face. And Wlad has not and (probably) will not face an "all-time elite" level opponent.

Not his fault, but that's how it is.

Has Peter improved that much, though? He was nearly knocked out by McCline, while Wlad won all 10 rounds against McCline and TKO'd him.

That said, as soon as Peter is the official WBC champion, i'd like to see them fight and unify some belts.
