If he loses badly then he should retire. Even if he wins and struggles he should retire pretty soon after. He's not a young man, he's clearly in decline and if Joshua doesn't get him, someone else would.

he should have already retired , even the paper champ will beat him easily

It depends on how competative he is. If he lets his hands go more than he did vs Fury, and he doesn't take that much punishment, then he may be keen to continue. Win or lose, I'd still like to see him rematch Tyson Fury. Fury seems to want Wilder more than a rematch with Wladimir.

I'm intrigued by this fight, because Fury's awkward movement really seemed to befuddle Wladimir, whereas Joshua has more explosive power than Fury, and certainly has speed, but not exactly the kind of speed and movement that really frustrated him vs Fury. The tale of the tape is very even here, Wladimir and Joshua match up very evenly, similar height, similar reach. Whereas Fury was much taller and had a longer reach with really caused Wladimir problems. I don't think Joshua will be able to control Wladimir with his jab like Fury did. I expect it to me more of a toe-to-toe battle but we'll see.

Yes, he will retire if he loses.

Yes, he should retire if he loses.

I could potentially see him fight a true "going away" bout against an overmatched opponent once more. But that is it. And I don't think that'd even happen.

If he throws fewer punches than he did in the Fury fight for 12 rounds, if it goes that long, then win or lose YES

This is how I see it. I think he's earned the right to a going away fight in Germany against an overmatched opponent. But I suspect he'll just retire.

Does anyone know if there is a rematch clause in Wlad vs AJ?

I have to be respectful of what he has accomplished.

However, it is during his reign that I have lost nearly all of my interest in the division. I see it now as "skill-less."

The Fury fight was a complete embarrassment and made it seem as though he has lost any desire he may have had. IMO, the type of desire that any champion should have.

If he fights like that again, then yes he should retire.

If he fights like that and Joshua cannot KO him, then both of them should.

Wlad had a off night against Fury, and other things. I see this going like the Pulev fight. You just can't stand in front of klitschko, and try to take him out. Too good defensively, Haye was very quick and explosive too.

If he wins he needs to call out Wilder or Parker and say those are the only two fights he will take or he will retire.

He has nothing to prove. He is a smart guy. Probably has made all the money he needs.

If he loses, yes, he should retire, and I think he will. If he wins, maybe a big payday fighting Wilder. It would bring the money, that's for sure.

Screw Fury. He should never get another shot. He can't handle the pressure. Totally blew it on the cocaine bust. The sport deserves better than Fury.
