Hard to call its a new generation of big, strong HW's at the doorstep, Wlad is a experienced vet but its very possible he gets blasted out here although Joushas recklessness could lead to opportunities if Wlad can take advantage at this point.

 

It's like people forget that Wladimir punches extremely hard.

 

Wlad will be stopped in the 6th round after gassing out! AJ is taller so clinching is out.wlad will have to rely on footwork.

 

It won't be early but I see a late Knockout for Joshua as a real possibility here.

Only last year AJ was at a WK training camp.

Wlad must have seen something during their time together that makes him confident, especially him being 40+, on the slide and AJ being some alleged unstoppable force.

I suspect you're right as Joshua himself said at the time he wasn't at Wlad's level when they sparred.

But that was over 2 years ago, in that time Wlad has gone from looking good against Pulev, struggling with Jennings, losing to Fury and being inactive for a year. While Joshua has fought another 11 pro fights since then and picked up a title.

So Wlad has gotten worse while Joshua has improved so Wlad better not think he's facing the same novice Joshua. But then again maybe there was a specific flaw he saw and he still sees in Joshua that he thinks he can exploit.

Having the power is one thing, applying it is another. Wlad in his last 24 rounds has failed to score a knockdown. If he lands flush he hurts or KO's Joshua, question is can he land that punch.

 

There was no clinching vs. Fury and it felt and ancient Wlad had more gas left in the last rounds than Fury.

 

Wlad might be paid to take a dive.

 

Joshua will be cordial and respectful to Wlad during the build up. Just like he was when he joined his training camp.
That Joshua will not exist come fight night.

Whyte and Brazeale took blows in the first few rounds that would put Wlad to sleep for a month. They had iron chins. Wlad does not.

He will not go down easily and without a fight.. This is not just a payday for him it is about personal pride and proving that he is not past it

He will bring his A GAME and Joshua will have to deal with the skills of Wlad early on but after AJ finds his grove and starts finding the target the fight will come to an abrupt end... 6th Round KO for AJ
