Will Wladimir receive the Charles Martin treatment this fight? I see AJ blasting him out early.

Wlad clinched as much as usual. And Fury's non stop tactical manoeuvring is a big drain on the gas tank. Wlad didn't pump the gas at all , yet he looked far worse than Fury by the end. Blowing hard and his face all messed up.
Fury looked as fresh as he did walking into the ring. Singing songs and the whole lot.

It's an interesting fight. But Joshua wins it easily imo. He could blast him out early or give him a beating for 10 rounds.

Martin is no where near the level of Wlad. Martin is the worst heavyweight titlist in the history of the sport, hands down!:deal:

Nah. More likely the Gary Cornish treatment.

I hope Wlad beats AJ because I like Tyson Fury and feel since he won the title he has been criticized by the media and has been personally attacked for his antics outside the ring. I feel if Wlad beats AJ then I will no longer have to sit and listen to some clueless followers go on about how AJ is miles better than fury because he has had some explosive knock outs of some fairly poor opponents ... and then maybe Tyson will get some of the recognition he deserves

If Wlad beats AJ, a few people will come round to that thinking but more likely they'll say it "proves" Fury beat Wlad on an "off night", and that AJ faced "the REAL Wlad".

Fury didn't get the recognition he deserves, and AJ was/is favourite with the media and public ...... BUT NOW, at this stage, Fury has himself to blame if AJ steals his thunder (by beating Wlad).
The only reason AJ has got this fight is because Fury pulled out.
Fury had the opportunity to go 2-0 against Wlad, but now he's given an opportunity to AJ to actually upstage him in a more meaningful way.

Hopefully whoever wins the fight will inspire/motivate Fury to come back and attempt to prove his point in the ring.

    May the best man win.

Forget Fury = he'll be banned for at least a year come his hearing with UKAD in November. Apart from him beating Wlad on points in a very boring fight where both guys were afraid to really let their hands go, who has Fury ever beat ? Chisora? Hammer? Cunningham...they are the best 3 names on his record pre Wlad. I reckon Wlad is in decline, but we wont really know how much till we see him in with AJ. 12 months of inactivity on top of his already old age. Wlad might very well still be very dangerous. He hits a LOT harder than Whyte, and has better skills. He didn't rule for over 10yrs for no good reason. Jab and grab works! LOL. Lets see if Hearn gets a ref that won't allow the Jab and grab style. I reckon even now though old as he is Wlad is LEAGUES above all AJ's previous opponents. Just how good AJ is, we really still don't know. I think he is the goods but time will tell. And whilst I expect his youth and power to get him this one, I don't write Wlad off - Wlads left hook or right hand could end it easily with 1 shot. AJ needs to be very careful himself. But I do see him not being as gun shy as Wlad might be. But overall this is possibly a pick 'em fight. First big shot takes it. I'll go with AJ here but I'd not bet on it!

I wouldn't be suprised if Wlad stops Joshua. Wlad had problems with Tyson Fury because Fury was bigger and jabbed all night. Wlad doens't like a jab in his face.

Against Joshua, I think Wlad will get back to fighting his own "jab 50 times, throw a right, and clinch" style.

    Wlad TKO9 Joshua.

Odin's Beard said what I wanted to say.

Wlad has sparred with AJ very recently. If AJ was as fearsome as everybody thinks, why would Wlad go anywhere near him? I've got a feeling that Odin is right: there are holes in AJ's game, and he wants to take advantage before they disappear.

The real question is: does Wlad have enough left in the tank to be ABLE to take advantage.

I'd love to see the old dog pull it off.

Joshua held back out of respect to the champion . There won't be no respect shown on fight night. Wlad leaves that ring on his back piece.

 I will ROTFLMAO so hard if Wlad takes care of business against AJ.

Not because I don't like Joshua; he's cool.

But because I will have a mental picture of DinoDeluded trampling his television, frothing with rage.

ridiculous thread, Martin went down withhout actually being hurt.#

Wlad gets destoryed early on for real, he doesnt have the option of choseing to not fight on. Martin was simply infinitely more cowardly.

If Vlad can get out of the first half of the fight he could tire Joshua out and stop him late.I think vlad may get steam rolled early but if he messes Joshua about and.take him into deep water it could get interesting.
