Had a peep at his record: a pro of 7 years and he's only been in with the ghost of Kovalev. That's his biggest fight in seven years - and he lost. Then he fought nobodies and a domestic rival again. Will Yarde ever take on the top guys on a regular basis?
No. He’s another Joshua who likes to be put in with knock over jobs and old men, who also managed to lose to a no hoper.
Same here. A few variables before I am fully convinced but I’ll definitely go and watch if it happens
If Arthur had exactly the same record but was American would we view those two fights differently? The second fight was a sign of improvement and the fact that he's up for a fight with Beterbiev shows that he has a set of balls. I was very disappointed with the opponent he took after the Kovalev fight but we all know why he took it and it's more boxings fault than his. After beating Yarde, Kovalev took on Canelo and boxed very well against him before being stopped late on, this idea that he had absolutely nothing left by the time Yarde rocked up in Russia isn't very accurate. I'm no Yarde fanboy I'm just giving a more balanced view on things rather than shooting him down for everything he has ever done.
Granted his CV isn't great but how can you make this thread when he is going to fight the most dangerous and arguably the best in his division?
I think he will but I think his career trajectory probably won't change much at this point ie a series of knock over jobs then a big fight every so often
