I'm confused; Mosley/Mayorga isn't until october, correct? Or are you talking about the fact that that will be a free show? Cause my rebuttle would be what have those guys done lately? Cotto and Margo are in their prime and are sure to not let anybody down. Just my .2 cents

I'm just worried if the JMM/Casa fight will be a snorefest.. They need to put some megafights free on HBO every once in a while..

The thread to me at least, is about whether you'd buy Mosley-Mayorga. I thought you were arguing that Mosley-Mayorga is a big time event that'll rival the grandaddies of 2008 (JMM-Pac, Izzy-Marquez). If you're talking about Cotto-Margarito then I agree.

If you're arguing that Mosley-Mayorga (on HBO PPV) will be up there with those fights...then we have an issue

Mosley-Mayorga obviously isnt on that level obviously it isnt for a belt or for any rankings cause Mayorga even if he does win will just fight 1 more time in 09 thats it and Mosley will go back to 147 if he wins. If nothing else it should be fairly entertaining to watch and it will solve the what if question when everyone wanted to see these 2 go at in early 2004. Should not be on PPV HBO has way to many PPVs coming up Margo-Cotto,Jones-Calzaghe,DLH vs ???,Casamayor-JMM,Mosley-Mayorga. The only ones id have on PPV are DLH,Jones and Calzaghe and maybe Margarito-Cotto I wish it had a better undercard.

It'll be entertaining, anything with Ricardo Mayorga is going to be entertaining. Mosley is a cherry on top and it'll be curious to see how time, inactivity and contreversy affect him.

It's just (as you've said) not worth the PPV cash. There's no reason why it can't be on an HBO telecast...not EVERY fight is worth a PPV...and when HBO sees buyrates in the 100s, they'll figure that out.

Everybody knows ******o Mayorga had brass knuckles under his gloves when he knocked Forrest out. And Shane cheated on his SAT's by having some blond ***** take it for him in exchange for his dick.

Im a mayorga fan.... so yes.

But im suprised more people on here dont realise, that often fights like this go to ppv because there ARE NO OPEN TV SPOTS to PUT them for free tv.

That being said... the price doesnt have to be so damn high.

But in general.... a lot of fights where people complain 'what the hell, this fight shouldnt be on ppv' although are right, fail to realise that in order for it to be shown on telivision it has to be ppv.

That being said they could lower the damn prices for non 'event' ppv's

Mayorga tested positive for diuretucs after his fight with Hoya. It's been proven that Shane was taking EPO prior to his second fight with Hoya. Make no mistake about it, they're both cheaters.
