A decision win for Mosley will shock me for a long time, a KO for Mosley I can't even describe how shocked I'll be. Then again a KO for Floyd over Mosley will also be extremely shocking.

People are really overestimating shanes chances here he is 39 ffs he'll be blowing hard after 5 rounds trying to chase after floyd.
When floyd tko's mosley it will from mosley being too tired not floyds power.

Margarito came to shane all night Floyd isn't going to do that at all he's going to fight on the back foot and rarely get involved in any exchanges.

Well **** happens and that was a long time ago and fights don't get made that has nothing to do with the fact that floyd wouldn't be taking this fight if mosley was 30 I guarantee he wouldn't.

Come on now it's pretty obvious floyd has waited until mosley is an old man you cant believe everything you read and see on the news.
How would you know if they did make the fight and behind the scenes mayweather made unrealistic demands or cut of the purse ?
All you get to see is the shane pulls out oh he must be ducking floyd nonsense.

I am not even saying Floyd ducked mosley or that mosley ducked floyd what I am saying is that it's very convenient and coincidental for floyd to finally fight shane aged 39 after avoiding pac by making up the whole drug issue.
And it was probably all pre planned by floyds team duck pac by making the drug issue then fight mosley to make it look like he didn't duck pac.
We only have what we read as evidence of what happened when this fight was previously trying to get made it's all hearsay.

The problem will be timing. I just dont see him catching Floyd clean. Those who doubt Folyd chin, the boy has a chin. Mosley has been knocked down clean by Forrest and i still believe the bell saved him that day. Lets see if can give Floyd fits, i just dont see it coming. He needs those punches against stationary fellas like Margo, Mayorga. I will not be shocked if he is taken out by Floyd, fighting with his eyes closed. It takes a good finisher to close the job if you close your eyes at work. lol.

    I would be shocked.

Floyd, if the Corley fight is any indication, can be stunned. But how long ago was that? 6 years ago or so?

I would chalk that up to a lapse in judgment that hasn't happened since.

I expect Shane to make a good fight, I like him, and I would love to see Floyd beaten not because I hate him, but because he is so good and to see a master technician beaten would be interesting.

But I don't think Shane can do it at this point.

    Prove me wrong.

I was thinking about that and after remembering what happened in the first Castillo fight yeah I will be shocked. Maywether is great in defense the only way to KO him is if he opens up if he is behind on the score cards. In the last round of the Castillo fight it was very possible even logical that he is behind. Did he opened up in the last round?? No he did nothing. Even if he is losing he is going to stick to his game plan so Floyd is not getting KOed for me.

The only reason why Forrest didn't finish him was his own inability as a finisher. Forrest, simply, is not a good finisher. Mosley was falling ALL over the place. He couldn't put his punches together. Mosley's legs were almost completely gone.

One punch isn't going to KO Mayweather, even if he lands. Mayweather can take a shot. And mosley tends to load up on his shots, and unless Mayweather is standing square up with little defense and doesn't see the punch coming like what occurred with Chop Chop... he is not going to get hit by those shots. Mosley has to play it smart, come in with the jab and dress Mayweather up with shots. Not all the shots should be KO shots, but just to touch him, to get him in the position to land a heavy one when may opens up to counter one of the insignificant punches he was just dressing up for the take out punches with have to be timed in those exact moments that even May won't be able to see them. Mosley going to have to SNAP his jab and do so repeatedly! None of that pawing with it to land his loaded up right hands. He is just going to frustrate himself if he gets into this mode. And Mosley can't have it in mind that May can't punch. The guy has some pop, it better not be his plan to simply walk through shots -- but move his head. But at his age, can he do this.

I'd be shocked yes, i think May is too good for SSM. Though i agree that May hasn't really fought real competition of recent (i.e. since he has been a welter), so maybe a slight chance for SSM maybe.

Though however critical i am of May, i acknowledge he is a fantastic boxer and really can't see SSM winning, esp via KO.

Have anyone here seen ANY of Mayweather's early fights?

Mayweather has been hit many times especially early in his career, there are fights early in his career where he went toe to toe and usually ended up going back to his corner with a busted lip bleeding. It's as he moved up in weight, specifically 140+, that he was forced to be more defensive seeing how his hand couldn't take the weight he was putting on them when he punches and how naturally bigger the majority will be compared to him. Even in his recent fights he has been caught and hard, DLH whacked him HARD with hooks numerous times, Hatton landed cleanly and even Marquez landed on him when he got the chance to do so.
