I think the first 4 rounds of this fight are going to be much more exciting than people think. One thing I think can be an 'X' factor is both guys bruise very easily. Wlad has suffered a few cuts along the way also. I think eventually Wlad's Jab and right hand is going to have Povetkin's face looking like a mess about round 6.

Wlad has been more aggressive since Banks took over that can either work for him or against him in a fight like this. Povetkin is a tough legit fighter. I think Wlad wins in the normal fashion (TKO/KO by round 6-8) but this is going to be a tough fight early and I think it will leave some of the critics of the Heavyweight Division a bit surprised.

So Dino, If (when) Sasha takes Wlad's titles, can you tell us which big names he's going to defend against ?

We'll start with Vitali, since Pov isn't related to him, he can probably manage what Wlad couldn't do there.

But tell us some of the big names that Povetkin will likely face in his first two years .

    Just 3 -5 should do.

I dunno both these guys are pretty iffy when it comes to picking opponents.

Its going to be a dull match, but lets see what happens, its worth watching on youtube. on sunday morning.

Interestingly, Dwyer of Gambler's Advisory is predicting Povetkin by KO.

If he does pull off the upset, you'll make a good return on that $500.

Definitely Wlad. I've followed Povetkin almost since he turned pro and I'm a fan of his fights. He can be exciting. But I hear he acts like a complete f*cktard and his camp held Wladimir up for years. So Wlad. I give Povetkin a maybe ten percent chance to fight above himself and catch Wladimir vulnerable for the first time since 2005.
LOL Oh no. He picked Tony Thompson in the SECOND FIGHT too. Maybe he'll get it this time. I'm going to go look that one up to see his reasoning there.

In fairness he gives a good analysis of the fight.

I see the fight going some what similar to what he's saying although I still have Wlad as the favourite. This is Wlad's toughest fight on paper.

People are underestimating Povetkin, he'll put up a good fight.

But Wlad is the stronger and more experienced boxer and will eventually break him down. My prediction is KO/TKO 11.

Ill be pulling for Wlad. it will be one of his top 5 wins and Potvetkin will likely be a mainstay in the division for several more yrs.

Id like to see Wlad close out his career with wins over Potvetkin, Pulev, Solis, Arreola, Wilder, Fury, Boystov and Helenius. Possibly Ortiz Mago and Jennings too.

Surely he won't get all those fights made but if he beat 8 of them, starting with Potvetkin......he'll have taken out at least 5 of the futures next titlists.

    It's 10:30 AM in Moscow.

The weigh-in is supposed to be 1 PM Moscow time, that's just 2.5 hours from now.
