Yeah, sure. And suppose somebody else offrered a challenge to Ricky? Someone like, say, ooh I dunno, Junior Witter perhaps? Ricky would be there, I'm sure.

Ricky's latest fight being PPV is a con, plain and simple.

That's very funny. I'm glad your spelling has improved.
It's just a pity when kids at the local gym have better skills than Hatton.

C'mon, you're right about a 4 year old old (exagerating to make a point) but theres plenty of Dads with kids 11 or so upwards that could take advantage of this.

Yes i have bought bigger mismatches before, e.g. Lewis v Botha.

Plus it wasnt to long ago that the Witter fans were claiming Harris' hard fought win over Lazcarno was "a great win".

A good homecoming fight for Ricky, Malignaggi/Torres/Witter next:good

I know what you are saying, we are not being tricked, but I do still feel that Sky are conning boxing fans.
When you pay the hefty subscription fees each month, you expect a certain amount of quality boxing to be shown. Over the years Sky have delivered, with decent fights, and only the mega fights being PPV, which was fair enough.
Nowadays, all you get are regular domestic bills and delayed coverage of straw weight fights in the Philippines. The good stuff (including the mega fights) is now on Setanta, whilst Sky have the cheek to charge extra for Hatton v TBA (Lazcano has not been finalised).
The con is the fact that people have paid their monthly subscription not realising that they will have to pay extra for something that simply doesn't warrant it.

They should publish a disclaimer saying "Boxing on Sky is now officially ****. If you want anything remotely approaching a big fight, we will stiff you twice"

I agree its a rip-off. I won't be paying for it. I'll either go watch it live or stream it.

I don't want to split hairs but Sky don't promise free Hatton fights when you subscribe. They promise so many Premiership games, Rugby League, Cricket etc but not free Hatton fights.

That's true, it's just a shame that Sky have gone down the pan with their boxing coverage. If Ricky had beaten PBF, then PPV would have been a foregone conclusion for every one of Ricky's defences. Thing is, he lost, and this fight has none of the star value that PPV should represent.
Sky are simply cashing in on Ricky's celebrity status, when they should be trying to win back some of the support they have lost to Setanta.

And what the f*ck has Witter done except be a c*nt?

Hatton not giving Witter a shot is the funniest thing happening in boxing at the moment. He fights great fighters like Tsyzu and Mayweather and Castillo, he fights average fighters like Maussa and Lazcano, he fights outside his own division... but he doesn't fight Witter.
    :happy

I can imagine how p*ssed off Witter is, and it's funny as hell.
I know it's been going on since around Hatton-Thaxton, maybe even earlier... but the longer it continues, the funnier it gets. :rofl

Witter's moaning about it non-stop, all you bitches on esb moan about it... :| Fock off, get over it.
