If the two world title fights on the undercard are decent match ups, then I may buy it but if its just paulie and someone else defending against bums then theres no point.

I'd guess it'll be Pauli against a decent but beatable opponent. They won't bring him over to showcase and then have him beaten.

I have never moaned about it. Witter grizzling whilst hiding in Hatton's shadow has been amusing over the years, but he is WBC champ now, and Hatton's legacy will always be called into question if he fails to fight him.
Even this fight is still not worth PPV in my opinion.....

As a Hatton fan, I'll be pissed off if Witter isn't at least signed by the end of the year. Witter has a good belt, the fight is a natural.

Realistically I'm hoping for Lascano, Paulie this year and Witter early next year.

This is the reply I got from Sky when i complaigned about it being Box Office

    Dear Robert

Thank you for your email about Sky Sports.

I am sorry to learn that you are unhappy with the pricing of Sky Sports.

Please allow me to explain that Sky Sports shows a variety of sporting events and has recently gained the rights to Nascar racing as well as broadcasting over 92 live matches from the Barclays Premier League compared to Setanta's 46. All covered in High Definition - and have delayed coverage of another 242 with Sky digital viewers able to choose highlights from a range of games on Football First.

One of the reasons our Box Office events arepay per view is to allow customers who do not have Sky Sports to watch high profile matches without the added sports subscription.

However, I have noted your comments regarding this and will pass it to Sky Sports for their information.

    Thanks again for contacting Sky.

    Kind regards

    Claire Widdowson

The part in bold paticuarly offended me. Why should i be punished for pay more?

this is the email to compain to by the way.

100% agree with everything you said.

I've been to a number of fights in the USA and across Europe and I've had a great time at all of them except one. The one which was not good was Hatton/Mayweather. The reason I did not like this was because there were hoards of british men drinking in all of the bars in their chav sports/leisure wear.

I will not be going to Manchester nor will I be buying it on PPV because I think the fight is a rip off as he is fighting a C- class fighter.

As you've said, the arena will be full of football fans and lots of mancs so I will happily give them a wide berth.

There are a lot of cheap tickets for the fight but I am always concerned about these football stadium fights because unless you get a really good seat your view much be shite. Out of curiousity, I checked out the ticket costs and where you'd site for those prices and to get anything half way decent you'd need to shell out £200+. Only a complete fan boy would be willing to pay this sum of money to watch Ricky fight a C- fighter.

As stated by others, will probably end up with a few of us going round to somebody's gaff and paying a couple of quid each to watch it. I think sky are taking the **** big-time though. When they first started this pay-per-view lark it wasn't too bad. I remember getting Calzaghe-Reid, Woodhall-Nardiello, a Mickey Cantwell title shot (can't remember the opponent), Morales-Chacon, Carr-Randall and DLH-Quartey on a tenner bill. Nowadays it seems like they think it's okay just to stick one star name on against an okay but nothing extraordinary opponent and charge everyone for the privilege.

Thank God for Setanta, a station which has made a real investment into bringing some top quality boxing to the British public. I was a grateful watcher of the Haye bill last week and will be so against when Manny and JMM do battle this weekend! Not to mention JC-Hops, Woods Tarver and all the other great fights mentioned!

Those Chav football fan thugs are the bane of boxing.

An absolute disgrace. Hatton draws them like flies to **** as well.
