If it's about the money then yes that is the simple solution. It's not about the money for me. $70 isn't a big deal by a long shot. I typically spend 2 to 3 times that amount on a bar tab on a night out. It's the principle. Floyd and Manny both have gotten it into their heads that they don't need to fight each other because they can make 20 to 30 million fighing guys that don't pose a threat. As fans if we want to see that fight we have to prove them wrong.

The same people saying that they will buy this fight will complain a few years from now that the real fight that the fans want to see was never made.

To those 27 people stop lyin!!!

You know you are buying it. I dont think anyone who considers himself a hardcore fan will be buying this. I understand the whole fight the man thing but i actually like this card. It is stacked as hell and only a true ******* wont buy it.
Now the Pac-Clottey card that was horrible. One of the worst cards ever. Also the Pac-Mosley card was terrible if it wasnt for Arce i would have been very pissed off.
Damn Arum keeps ripping us off the more i think of it.
GBP actually has pretty decent cards.

Do you really think telling a few people on a boxing forum to not buy their fights will change ****? I mean honestly....

I'm not telling anyone what to do. You buy what you want to buy. I was just curious how many people feel the same way I do. Isn't that what we do here? Talk about our opinions on the sport? I do believe that if more fans felt the same way I do and didn't pay for bull**** fights, we'd get the fights we want out of guys. They would have no choice but to fight the fights we want to see or go broke.

Before this fight was announced, you could have started a poll asking who people would like to see Floyd fight. You would have gotten like 30 pages of replies and most likely no mention of Ortiz, yet here we are being convinced by HBO that this is actually a meaningfull fight worth paying for.

I will buy a ticket to see it in the movie theater instead of the PPV.

This poll has not left me with a clear and satisfactory option. :bart

The problem is by boycotting, you actually hurt boxing more then floyd. Its boxing vs ufc and the only ones holding boxing in the news is floyd and pac. Its important for boxing fans to watch if they want to keep it relevant. Ive seen mma become prosperous when they had many promos such as pride which was better then ufc. The ufc fans boycot it cause ufc is usa and pride is japan. Now mma is monopolize by ufc and can control the fighters salary the program is now milked out by TUFrs. As long as boxing in a whole maintain decent ratings it stays relevant. If they dont, well ufc will take more fans from boxing and then boxing will be small shows.

if someone is hosting a fight party, yeah..i'll see it.

otherwise, i'm going to the UNLV-Hawaii football game. There's bound to be more exciting fights in the stands than at a Mayweather fight.

The World Awaits wasn't boring at all. It just fell short of its over-the-top hype.

I love the sport of Boxing! and what we have here is a great fight card. Sure Ortiz is a big underdog, but it's been a while since I've seen Floyd challenge himself against a young, hungry, stong opponent.

I understand where you are coming from Woo but get over it. You are a boxing fan first and foremost right? Then if anything support your Sport, support the Living Legend Erick Morales as he takes on hard hitter Lucas Matthysse.

No you're not telling anyone what to do, my bad if I said that... You're suggesting to people that not buying these PPV's will force Pac and Floyd to fight... You really believe that? How long do you think people would have to boycott fights for it to have a real effect?

Who else would Floyd have realistically fought now? Pac hadn't agreed to the tests up to the fight at the time the fight was signed, only other fight people really wanted to see him in is Martinez. That's not happening, so this is the next best bet. Floyd's not going down to 140.

You sure I'm black? I hear you call all of Floyd's other fans white or some other ****...
