I probably will buy it to be honest... I dont really want to out of principle but at £15, its not that much in the grand scheme of things, and beats watching the X-Factor or Strictly Come Dancing on Ice or whatever other shite is on
It's the reason why Floyd gets away with them horribly overpriced PPV's. Some of his fans see it like some kinda statussymbol to be able to afford the PPV, and seeing their hero burning and spending their hard earned cash. Not thinking about the actual worth of what they just bought. I always compare it to spending $25 to $30 for a hamburger and a coke.
the trouble is, I've already had a text from someone (a non boxing fan) who wants to sort out a poker night, have a few drinks and watch the fight because he's seen Sky sports news and thinks its a "big" fight. a similar thing happened for the Haye Klit fight, even though the fight itself was a let down it was a decent get together with our old football team etc, something similar was arranged for froch groves (but I was at the fight) Based admittedly on one person I can see the casual fans who bought and enjoyed the froch groves fight, buying into this and similar things getting arranged. A lot of the purchasers are pubs / bars too, who probably don't know that much about boxing and think "its PPV it must be good" once the PPV's shared between 5-7 people the costs minimal, so though I've voted no on the poll because I wouldn't spend £15-20 watching this out of principal, i'll probably end up watching it and contributing to the cost with a few others.
I'd rather pay for BN for a month or two and watch tons of their content instead. Eddie is going to ruin British Boxing.
No No paying for sky sports already quite expensive so the only way I might pay more is for a real elite level fight and with all due respect to the fighters they are not elite lever fighters this is a good old fashioned home ground grudge match
"Get out and do some shagging on Saturdays mate FFS" Not sure the Mrs would be right happy with that mate! Plus I play footy on a Saturday so by the time im home and fed I'm usually knackered so generally spend Saturdays in during the season
only way they could justify this ppv was if they had secured the rights to the Pacman vs Algieri card and if you bought the ppv you also got this card earlier in the day
