I subscribe to Sky Sports and normally buy every PPV but this is a joke and I do not care if Bellew and Cleverly throw punches at every presser between now and then, there is nothing that gets me to buy Bellew Vs Cleverly PPV. As many have said, this will be rammed down our throats for weeks, they will probably even "scuffle" a few times, the BBBofC will make statement, they will have 100 security guards at the final presser "because you can feel the tension" and the "genuine ill feeling"... What a joke. We all know what is coming.
How can Hearn justify making this fight a PPV when in his own words, 'the arena would be half empty in cardiff'
Great shout. I've been a little underwhelmed with fight pass content thus far (still early days....).
I don't agree wih it being ppv And I think Hearn is fleecing the fans ! And this will be the start of the end for him But I will buy it because am a big james degale fan
Bellew vs Cleverly is never a PPV main event but I am a big fan of Degale, Joshua, Quigg and C. Smith so will be getting this.
Hints last night on Twitter that it's not Hearn's call- Sky clearly want two PPVs per year (one in May and one in November). After the Brook fight fell through this was the next high profile fight that could sell. It's a terrible decision from the hardcore perspective but I call see the casuals wanting to see it they both really, really hate each other. Will the Haye comeback be on this bill to bolster the card?
Cleverly & Bellew are hardly house hold names though, how many causals even know who they are. This will give SKY poor viewing figures
No way am I paying for this shite. Ive cancelled my Sky too and told them why, the woman on the phone said we've had a few people cancelling for the same reason. I don't doubt that this wasn't Eddie's decision alone but that makes it even worse if so called Sky executives think this is honestly PPV worthy. Well they've lost my sky subscription which before PPV's works out at nearly £850 per year !
