A win is a win, even if it's close or not.

Even if he wins a controversial SD he will be #1 p4p if he beats Mayweather.

I think a lot of fans will but not the experts and i definitely would not consider him the best fighter on the planet if he won.

Mmm, tough call. I'd put him top 3, with Pac and B-hop.

I think I have to put B-hop at #1... even though I think he should retire. The wins against Tarver and Wright, push him up.

I HAD Pac at #1, but I bumped him to #2 after the Hopkins win, even though it wasn't the prettiest win. I think it was fairly decisive, which counts for me.

I have PBF at #3. I actually ranked him at #4 before he fought De La Hoya at 154. He took Winky's spot, due to taking on Oscar, who even at his age is still a massive size difference. I'm CLOSE to putting him at #2 for that win, but his prior fights make me leave him at #3. If he beats Hatton, I'll make him #2 even if Pac beats the hell out of Barrera again.

Honestly, if I sat down and thought about it more, I might change my mind on all of those. I think the P4P rankings are taken too seriously most of the time. It's totally subjective.

If hell froze over and pigs suddenly began to fly and Hatton somehow beat Floyd...then yes! He would be p4p #1.

Yes he will be number one for beating Floyd, (who is either 1 or 2)

Yes, without shadow of a doubt.

Mayweather is widely regarded as the best fighter, P4P, in boxing. Whoever beats him, would be awarded that title. There can be no disputing that in my view.

If Hatton were to beat Floyd, then someone were to defeat Hatton, whoever that was, would then be regarded as the best fighter in the world, P4P.

I seriously doubt that and I don't think your guilt trip will gain Hatton haters any points. I don't hate many fighters and Hatton is not on my **** list at all but I am not a fan of him because of his fighting stlye. Hatton is a highly regarded champ and so is PBF though my p4p list does not include PBF at the top spot. If Hatton does beat and dominate PBF he will not be #1 on my list due to my standards. Fighters like B-Hop and Manny have faced much better comp as a whole in their careers and are obviously on top of their game. Hatton would reach the elite spot of number #3 on my list because he would have beaten 3 top fighters while B-Hop and Manny have beaten, drawn or split with 3 or more top fighters. That's just my opinion. P4p rankings are not meant to be so cut & dry.
