Will you give either Klitschko credit, if they beat Haye?

    Your thoughts.

If the Klits end the hype next year, do they deserve credit for it?

Klitschko(no matter which one) vs. Haye will be the HW fight of the decade, no doubt. Usually the winner should be recognized as a great HW.

Yes, for at least taking out a dangerous puncher.

If they get no credit for beating Haye then who will they get credit for exactly?, it's not like the division is packed.

    Co-sign.

It would be a shame, though, to see people degrade Haye if he gets blown out by the Klitschkos, when right now he's supposed to be their biggest threat, at least by some.

Either Klitschko should get credit for beating Haye, but especially Wlad -- as there are more doubts about a Wlad vs. Haye match.

Both of them defeated Peter (who was supposed to be a murderer).

By all means, let's sign this match for 2009!!!

I'd give them respect alright. But i'd prefer for Haye to have 2-3 more fights against top 10 opposition before he fights them. He's no excuse for not fighting for another 8-9 months now. The man could be back in the ring in early February.

My point wasn't that Haye isn't their biggest threat.

I just meant that I would hate to see Haye turn into a hype-job fighter overnight by some people, if he gets destroyed by one of the Klitschkos, so that the Klitschkos don't get the credit they would deserve if they beat him.

The Klitschko detractors will never give them credit regardless of their competition.

It's a shame that people can't enjoy greatness in its prime.

it's amazing how blind hatred keeps so-called "fight fans" from enjoying true talent in the sport of boxing.

I think it'd be crazy not too.

Sure he has defence and durability issues, but he's quick and powerful and wants that knockout. Bowling over someone like that is a lot better than another jab-jab-move heavy with a bog-standard look and all the verbal charisma of a dead budgie.

I think they would deserve credit if they did beat Haye, especially Wlad, who has more of a stylistic weakness against Haye than Vitali does.

Haye is a tremendous puncher with speed - completely the opposite of most of the current heavyweights out there.

Who else do they have to beat, other than each other?
