I will give him credit if he wins, I would love to know his teams thinking behind taking this fight so soon after his loss cause it's a huge risk. Regardless of how past it Barrera may or may not be.

I give him credit for taking the fight.

Have to wait and see how the fight pans out to determine how much credit he should get for a win. If MAB drops him, looks fresh, lively but loses a clear on points, that would probably be the best outcome.

If he blows him away they will scream shot, and not only will he get no credit, folk will be majorly pissed off he did that to a legend. Worst outcome.

Yes for taking the fight, maybe for the outcome.

As others have said, it all depends on how MAB is on the night. If he looks shot than Khan gets some respect (a shot Barrera is still a better fighter than most of Khan's former foes if not all). However if a past his best but still good MAB turns up Khan gets a lot of respect.

That said, the winner is apparently the mandatory to the winner of Juan Manual Marquez and Juan Diaz. I would keep Khan away from those even if he does win.

nope....who was the last guy Barrerra beat? cuzz i honestly don't know

i like Khan, infact i'm probabbly one of the few guys on here who openly says that, and one the even fewer americans who likes him but, i dont understand this fight

if he beats Barerra, whats the point? why not just rematch Presscott like was originally planned? he'd have to absolutely wreck Barrerra for me to give him any kind of real credit for this fight

I hope if he wins they do stick him in with the winner, it's a win/win situation. He cant make LW for much longer, and if your last 2 fights at LW are MAB and say JMM and you come out of it 1-1, i cant see that hurting him too much going into LWW.

He dosn't get the same credit as Pacquaio and Marquez of corse. When Pacquaio fought him he was top 5 p4p, When Marquez fought him he was top of 130. It's years later and barrera has never fought a top guy at 135. Think it could equal Delahoya's win over Chavez.

Um, no. I fully expect him to beat Barrera very easily. I'll give him credit if he beats a good lightweight. Barrera is not a good lightweight. He's a name.

Khan has already shown that he's an unstable fighter with a few weaknesses. Fighting Barrera at this point in his career is a good step. MAB might not be the man we remember, but this is a good fight in either direction. Khan needs a win to keep the ball rolling, and MAB would like to prove himself as well. A win for Khan at this time is credible.

I'm not saying if Khan is going to win or lose. I'm not 100% sure yet.

I like both guys but not a fan of either one.

This post shows the poor workings of a mind that gets things all wrong due to an inability to think logically.

    No.

Firstly it's clear that Barrera is way past it.

Secondly the physical size difference that Khan holds over Barrera as well as the obvious advantage in youth is massive. Khan is a very big lightweight and Barrera is a former Bantamweight.

I'm expecting a Khan late stoppage unless he gets stupid. If I'm right then I won't be at all surprised but I won't be giving credit either.

We all know what would have happened against a prime Barrera even with the physical advantages Khan has over him.
