Will you give Pacquiao credit if he beats Thurman, and vice versa?

If Pacquiao manages to beat One Time will you guys actually give Pac any credit for that win? I see a lot of people saying that Pac only picked Thurman based on his last fight but aren't even acknowledging the fact that he's undefeated and has the best resume out of Spence and Crawford. Thurman is also the most proven WW. Pac is at that stage in his career where he doesn't need to be fighting the Top guys at WW but still chooses Thurman, so I don't get why people still have the audacity to call this a "cherry pick" fight when Thurman is a legitimate opponent.

If Thurman beats Pacquiao in convincing manner then that should also be considered as a great win for him and would solidify his status as the the top guy in the division. He would have a legends name on his resume.

Both should be commended for making this fight happen. Hoping for it to be an entertaining barnburner and may the best man win.

Yes I will give him credit if he wins against what ever version of Thurman shows up. I can give credit to fighters with no excuses even when I am wrong and have a history of doing so while many others can't and won't.

Pacquiao gets full credit if he beats Thurman.

Thurman gets very little credit if he beats Pacquiao because Pacquiao is tiny ("Pacman is 2 feet tall!," said Thurman), is 40, and can become completely shot overnight at his age.

Yo dummy, Pac been said he wanted Thurman BEFORE Thurman fought Josesito. But ignore facts and stick to your racist agenda.

I don't think that's very fair for Thurman. Thurman should get full credit if he beats Pac, much like when Evander beat George Foreman.

It may not be fair, but it's the reality. A war torn 40 year old can find that he can't pull the trigger all of a sudden.

He also mentioned Errol Spence get the **** outta here. He never had no intention of fighting Spence. BTW this was after. He saw how Thurman looked against Lopez and then set his sights on him. The video even says that @ 2:28 but you leave that out of your pathetic agenda Pac still got Jeff Horn problems. Now go back to hating on Black fighters you racist POS.

Both should get full credit for taking this fight during the marination era. Whoever wins deserves full credit for a great victory. Boxing fans are so fickle, let's be happy when big fights happen, and stop creating false narratives after every card to diminish the results.

At the end of the day that's part of the game. Pac can get old all of a sudden but Thurman should still get full credit. Just like how Cotto should be getting full credit for beating Sergio Martinez, hurt knee or not.

I don`t remember Evander getting any credit for beating Foreman who was a far bigger underdog going into that fight than Manny is here, Foreman was far slower than Holy while Manny doesn`t lok slower than Thurman.

I give Pacquiao credit even for taking this fight.

I hope he knows what he's doing.

Both get credit from me, and the winner deserves their props.

Nobody is going to pretend this is peak Pac, but since when did beating a top 5 fighter in your division NOT get you credit? I think it's fair to put Pac in that range in this phase of his career. It's a dangerous fight for Thurman, who still has the best resume over the current generation of welters of anyone out there.

The truth is pac picked Thurman because of how he looked against Lopez. Spence is the bigger draw hands down

Beating Pac would not make Thurman the top guy at welter. It would be an excellent feather in his cap but to claim that distinction he would have to conquer Spence and Crawford. If Pac beats Thurman, that would be another testament to his greatness.
