Yes, it's not Floyd vs Pac but it's still a damn good competitive fight in the making. I would order a fight between Pac and Clottey, Mayweather, Mosley, Berto, Foreman or anyone other top welter. I would do the same with Floyd. What I wont order is Floyd beating up some nobody like Matt Hatton.
I couldn't agree more - I might watch it online for free or a very small price, but I'm sure as #()$ not paying $50 to watch Pac fight Clottey. If you shell out your hard-earned money to buy this and Papa Bob Arum sees that he made plenty of money off of it, what motivation does he have to make the fight with Mayweather? He can continue to match his own fighters against each other and keep more money in house. I'm not saying Clottey isn't a GOOD opponent, but he's not a GREAT one and he's certainly no Mayweather. Mayweather and Pacquiao have far more in common - both came from smaller weight classes and moved up, both are very intelligent fighters, both are considered the 1 and 2 pound-for-pound fighters in the world and both of them attract large PPV audiences. Clottey, while he's a tough fighter for anyone, has only one chance to win this fight and that's due to the natural size and strength advantage he'll have over Pacquiao. It won't have anything to due with Clottey being more skilled. Clottey is nowhere near as skilled or intelligent a fighter as either Pacquaio or Mayweather, and I'm not paying big money to watch one of the best fighters in the world fight a DECENT fighter. I respect Clottey, but he's no substitute for Mayweather. On the other hand, if this fight does terrible numbers, Bob will have no choice but to face the inevitable - he has to put his fighter in the ring with Mayweather to make meaningful money. I'm not going to give Bob $50.
Everyone wants the Mayweather fight 1st. But if it can't happen Clottey is a legit threat and a top welter. At this point you can only rank Pac, Mosley, and Floyd above him and all those dudes are future hall of famers, so it's not like he's in a **** division. Great welter matchup and another test to see how Pac does against a big strong guy. Risky business for team Pac.
its funny how you see a pattern in there, but you cant seem to see or refuse to see that PAC has never been tested positive on PEDs, its a pattern. more so, PAC has never been around people with steroid issues. PBF with his stunts at WWE, is more likely to have used PEDs.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Lqgow5tGlU[/ame] Clottey isn't scared of this. Floy has fear of this baby! Clottey will put up a better fight than Cotto. Miguel has a history of running, coasting, surviving in fights. That shouldn't be surprise to anyone. Hatton has a history of running into punches. And Hoya has history of wearing fishnet stocking that was easy work for PAC IMO.
